We are overflowing with gratitude for the incredible homes that participated in our Great British Cycle Relay and made it such a fantastic journey! A huge thank you to our dedicated committee for organising this event, and to our amazing supporters—Virgin Money, Browne Jacobson, Civitas Investment Management Limited, Christie & Co, and Pie Events —for their invaluable contributions in recruiting riders and facilitating the ride. From Manchester to London, we experienced unforgettable moments traveling across the country to various homes who warmly opened their doors to us. The energy, camaraderie, and enthusiasm were truly inspiring. Each home went above and beyond in welcoming our riders and team with delicious food, lively music, and wonderful entertainment. It truly added #Sparkle to our Care Home Open Week. St George’s Park Nursing Home was proud to participate in the Great British Care Cycle Relay during this Care Home Open Week! We were delighted to host this monumental event, spanning 300 miles from Manchester to London, to raise awareness for social care across the UK. Starting in Manchester and concluding in London, the relay unites communities and highlights the essential services care homes provide. Today, our home served as a lunch stop for cyclists on their journey, offering refreshments and a warm welcome from residents and staff.
