TUESDAY TEASER 🤩 The team has recently re-developed Ricoh 3D's unique 3D printing and AM service offering, which operates via a three-stage approach: Discover, Transform, Sustain. Collectively, the stages comprise 5 modules: - 3D Academy - 3D Print - 3D Innovate - 3D Managed Print - 3D Beyond Today, we're focussing on Module 3: 3D Innovate. 3D Innovate refers to ‘deep dives’ into applications and projects, largely focussing on customers and partners who wish to knowledge-share, co-innovate and co-create. The Ricoh 3D team leverages RICOH’s global Kaizen (continuous improvement) culture to challenge existing workflows and requirements, to manufacture more innovative solutions. We offer a full suite of innovative technical services, including: concept design, DfAM, optimisation, scanning and reverse engineering, lifecycle analysis, testing and compliance, post-processing (dying, joining, smoothing, assemblies and inserts), product development workshops and other bespoke customer-centric requests. Stay tuned on socials, as we begin to share further details on our comprehensive service modules in the following weeks. Want to know more? MEDICAL MONDAYS ❤️ The medical sector is one of the most exciting for 3D printing. The technology is already being used to change lives for the better – and there is much more to come. While we often share information on our award-winning work in orthotics and prosthetics (P&O), some of our other medical innovations are notable too! The Ricoh 3D team has also proudly collaborated with radiologists at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to manufacture patient-specific surgical-anatomical models… These have been used for surgery preparation, reducing the time of surgery itself, thus reducing costs, resource, and most importantly, enhancing patient care and customer-centricity from the point of initial consultation. At Ricoh 3D, we are empowering our customers and partners to harness the full potential of 3D printing in healthcare. Contact our Senior Engineer and Medical Lead, Richard Minifie today, to discuss your medical 3D printed needs. #Ricoh3D #3DPrinting #Medical #AnatomicalModels #SurgicalModels

FACTORY FRIDAYS 🏭 Introducing our latest social series – Factory Friday! Each week, we will be sharing real-life examples and case studies of how Ricoh 3D is empowering the wider business at Ricoh UK Products Ltd (RPL) with 3D printing and additive manufacturing services, strengthening RICOH’s diverse suite of products, services and solutions. Today, we’re showcasing Titanium Nests (specifically, chip holders for toner production lines), manufactured in titanium, using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technology. They were originally Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machined using stainless steel, but they were difficult to manufacture due to thin, complex features. As such, they were also prone to frequent breakages, due to impactful contact with automatic robots on the production line. The additively manufactured titanium solution boasts improved geometries, better strength, vastly reduced risk of breakage of complex sections, and a quicker, easier and cheaper solution to CNC machining. Furthermore, the current iteration has consolidated two parts into a single component. Reach out to Ricoh 3D’s Materials Specialist and Industrial Lead, Enrico Gallino, Ph.D. to find out how we can fix ‘pain points’ on your production lines and devices too! We are STRONGER TOGETHER. #Ricoh3D #3DPrinting #FactoryFriday #RicohUKProducts #TitaniumNests
