Do you want to improve the inclusivity of your community energy co-operative? Unfortunately, some of the UK’s diverse communities are under-represented within the community energy sector. Working with Repowering London and King's College London, CSE researched what causes groups to be excluded from energy co-ops. We looked at how to build the diversity of members so more people have the opportunity to be part of energy projects that shape their community. We launched a new partnership with SGN today, to take aim at fuel poverty in Lambeth. We had a chance to celebrate this morning at the end of #CommunityEnergyFortnight alongside some #CommunityEnergy folks from CREW Energy, who are also kicking off a new partnership to support households in fuel poverty to the south-west of us. We'll be supporting Lambeth residents who are struggling with their energy costs today, while we're building community capacity for longer-term solutions – to ultimately provide lower-cost energy and create warmer and healthier homes for Londoners.
