Hi, I’m Jen Smith, Marketing Director at Rcapital and in less than two weeks I will be taking on the mighty Yr Wyddra (Snowdon) to raise money for Marie Curie UK. It is a 10 mile hike up 1,085m, in the dark to arrive at the summit at 4.30am to (hopefully) watch the sunrise! Although I’ve done lots of hiking in the past, this is my first organised event of any kind since being diagnosed with a neurological disorder following a fall 3.5 years ago. Those who know me, will also know that I wouldn’t let a small detail like that get in the way! I’m taking on the challenge with my best friend as we have both been inspired to raise funds for Marie Curie following the sad passing of close friends and family recently. We have been absolutely blown away but the incredible generosity of all of our supporters, smashing our target many times over. A huge huge thank you from us to everyone who has donated and supported.
