I had such a great time putting together the content for the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering ‘Create the Trophy’ competition on TikTok and Instagram! From scripting to filming and editing, it was a fun challenge to capture the excitement of this competition in a way that would inspire young people to get involved. For those who don’t know, the competition is open to 14-24 year olds, giving them the chance to design the trophy for the QEPrize—the most prestigious engineering award out there. It’s an incredible opportunity for young creatives to make their mark. You can check it out- https://qeprize.org/trophy I really enjoyed the process of creating content that spoke directly to a younger audience while highlighting the prestige of the prize. If you’re looking for someone to help you bring your content to life with a mix of creativity and strategy, I’d love to chat!

There is still time to register for the Royal Academy of Engineering's online workshop report on ensuring a safer end of life for offshore wind infrastructure. Join the event this Friday to hear the Academy's findings and recommendations, as well as the role of government and industry in addressing the emerging challenges. https://lnkd.in/gyfGXgpQ
How can we ensure a safe end of life for offshore wind infrastructure? In May we hosted a workshop with over 50 multisector experts to discuss exactly that. We are now launching a post-workshop report with all the key messages and next steps to put this issue on the agenda. The workshop chair, Professor Susan Gourvenec FREng, will explain our findings and recommendations, and workshop participants will update on progress made since May. We’ll look at the role of government, industry, research, international bodies, and non-profit organisations in addressing the many emerging challenges. We invite you to join us at the online workshop report launch on Friday 1 November, 12.00pm to 1.00pm GMT. Register at: https://lnkd.in/gyfGXgpQ

Wind power is now the largest single source of electricity generation in the UK, establishing itself as a mainstream energy source. This growth wouldn't be possible without our #QEPrize2024 Laureates, Andrew Garrad and Henrik Stiesdal, who were responsible for revolutionary improvements in wind turbine technology. In a recent interview with E T Magazine, Andrew Garrad discusses his distinguished career and the future of renewable energy. ♻
Co-winner of the 2024 Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, industry legend and ‘godfather of wind energy’ Andrew Garrad discusses his long and distinguished career, the sector’s half-century of growth and what’s in store for the future. #windenergy #renewableenergy #windturbines #renewables
