  • We celebrated 2024 UN World Chess Day with our thrilling Chess Grand Final ♟️! After a month of intense local tournaments, we proudly gathered the winners at our London headquarters. Our top 10 champions—hailing from Vietnam, Singapore, India, Romania, Germany, France, Ireland and Morocco—united for an extraordinary simultaneous chess match against the legendary grandmaster and greatest female player of all time, Judit Polgar! Chess embodies strategic thinking, humility, and mutual respect—values that resonate and align perfectly with QRT's philosophy and culture. A huge thanks to Judit Polgar for her benevolence and generosity (even though she defeated all our champions 😉), and a special appreciation goes to England chess team captain Malcolm Pein for his assistance in organising the event and offering tips to our players. Here’s to many more events that challenge and inspire us all! https://lnkd.in/dH7DbpPe

  • We’ve just had an eventful and action-packed week with our talented interns from Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai! At QRT, proper onboarding is crucial to ensure interns and new joiners have everything they need to continuously develop themselves and succeed in their new roles. Some key highlights of this week include: • Kicking off with an enjoyable after-work gathering at our Hong Kong office, complete with spirited ping pong matches! • Engaging our interns in insightful academic lectures and practical sessions throughout the week • A courageous group braving the heat and humidity (35 degrees!) to hike up to Victoria Peak and relish the stunning views at the summit • Wrapping up the week by celebrating the achievements and experiences of all interns A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this week unforgettable! Looking forward to more great moments as we continue to grow together.

  • What a pleasure to welcome two distinguished guests to our London office: Silke Biermann, Head of Physics at École Polytechnique, and Thomas Ayral, Lead of Research in Quantum Applications in the Eviden Quantum Laboratory. Silke delivered an inspiring talk titled “A Glimpse into the Microscopic World - Quantum Physics Today,” where she, along with Thomas, delved into the latest advancements in manipulating quantum systems. Our discussions brought to life the fascinating concepts of superpositions and entanglement, highlighting their implementation in physical systems and the ground breaking potential for technologies like quantum simulation, sensing, and information processing.   👌 Thank you to Marie Caillat and Fondation École polytechnique for their support in organising this presentation and for fuelling our passion for technology!

  • Together with the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques - IHES, we co-hosted a scientific conference given by Delaram Kahrobaei, Professor of Mathematics & Computer Science at the City University of New York and a regular visitor at IHES, entitled "Mathematics of Post-quantum Cryptography in the AI Era". Over 50 of our colleagues attended this scientific talk in Paris, engaging in discussions on the progress of quantum computing and its effect on the security global landscape, as well as its applications to post-quantum blockchain technology. QRT is proud to support the IHES, especially the summer schools that just began this week. These sessions offer young researchers valuable insights into the latest developments in key areas of mathematics and theoretical physics.

  • Did you know that chess is one of the most ancient, intellectual, and cultural games, combining sport, scientific thinking, and elements of humility and mutual respect? In this spirit, we hosted our first Global Chess Event . Over the last month, tournaments have been held in all our offices around the world. A heartfelt thank you to the 120 colleagues who participated in this global event. From expert players to motivated beginners, it was a fantastic opportunity to meet, have fun, learn, and compete in a wonderful atmosphere. Congratulations to the 10 QRT winners who are now invited to the grand final at our London headquarters in July 👉 Stay tuned!
