We are thrilled to share that The Sir Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, long term supporter of The Prince’s Trust and Platinum Patron, has pledged a major gift of £1m to help young entrepreneurs across the UK to scope out, sustain and grow their businesses. With this gift, we are excited to launch the ‘Sir Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Fund for Enterprise’. The fund will form part of our Start Up Grants initiative, and will be accessible to young people who are involved with our Enterprise programme, who want to test their business ideas prior to launch or build on the foundations they have already established. Jonathan Townsend, Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust in the UK, said: “We are incredibly grateful for this transformational gift that will enable us to support young entrepreneurs to unlock huge potential in their businesses. Whether they are just starting up or looking to take their business to the next level, young people will be able to access the fund at different stages of their journey, enabling them to make the most of opportunities to elevate and expand their businesses in those all-important early years after launch.” Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou said, “I am very excited to launch this new Foundation Fund with The Prince’s Trust which will see our partnership support and nurture young entrepreneurs across the UK. Creating and building businesses is something which is very close to my heart, and I look forward to helping the next generation of budding entrepreneurs achieve their business dreams.” #enterprise #youngentrepreneur #entrepreneurship #startupgrant

We’re thrilled to unveil this year’s NESCAFÉ AZERA By Design tins! ☕🎨 With our 2024 design brief being all about the 'Beauty of Connecting over Coffee', it was only right we brought together our winners along with their friends and family for a special celebration. From hearing about the inspiration behind our winners' designs, to getting career insights from design industry experts Meagan Wells, Emily Hopgood, and Esther Johnson (former 2023 By Design winner!) - it was an invaluable day full of inspiration and creativity. Since the start of our partnership, NESCAFÉ AZERA (Nestlé) has donated over £400,000 to The Prince’s Trust to help transform young lives. Now in its fourth year, the competition is a way to champion creativity and give budding artists a unique platform to share their work. Today we are launching important research in conjunction with LADbible Group that found young people are sacrificing their mental health and social lives in the pursuit of financial stability. The survey of 2,098 18–34-year-olds shows that these sacrifices increase for young people already facing disadvantage such as those in social housing and those who have caring responsibilities, with 62% of this group sacrificing their mental health, 56% spending less time with friends and family and half (49%) not prioritising travel and hobbies. This research demonstrates young people are ambitious and motivated and want to succeed. However, it’s crucial they are offered the support they need to be able to achieve their goals without being detrimental to their mental health and wellbeing. At The Trust, we know that in the longer-term poor mental health can lead to missing work and can create a negative cycle in people’s working lives.
