On July 10, the US Administration, via the Executive Office of the President, set out its cybersecurity priorities for the 2026 fiscal year, as consistent with the ongoing guidance from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the National Cybersecurity Director. The memorandum (M-24-14) highlights five pillars, each intended to help enhance the US position on cybersecurity: ✔️Defend Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) ✔️Disrupt and dismantle threat actors ✔️Shape market forces to drive security and resilience ✔️Invest in a resilient future ✔️Forge international partnerships to pursue shared goals These focal points are particularly encouraging for companies such as PQShield, who are helping organizations around the world update cryptography to defend against the quantum threat. Meet the Team - Anand Jose, Cryptography Verification Engineer Anand is a cryptography verification engineer in the hardware team and works to make sure PQShield hardware IPs are bug free and are of the highest standards. He has 6 years of experience in verifying subsystems and SoCs. Anand joined PQShield in November 2022 after completing his MSc in Microelectronics System Design. Anand enjoys debugging; getting to the root of bugs (and squashing them). Outside of work, he likes to hike, travel and generally be around nature. In this latest collaboration with eShard, we review a significant side-channel vulnerability in lattice-based implementations, as discovered earlier this year by Tolun Tosun, Amir Moradi, and Erkay Savas. The research describes the leveraging of many implementations, particularly ML-KEM and ML-DSA, to mount a side-channel attack that works around masking countermeasures.This ongoing series continues our detailed look at side-channel masked implementations, and highlights the importance of understanding the security of these techniques. With the NIST standards expected to be widely adopted later this year, the impact of this work is likely to be felt in the immediate future. #sidechannel #NIST #cryptography #quantumsafe #cybersecurity

Meet the Team - Amani Faris, Business Development Representative Amani joined PQShield as a business development professional following a successful stint at a leading IAM cybersecurity firm - selling deals to the likes of Amazon and https://hubs.li/Q02Fqxsf0. At University he studied LLB Law but discovered a passion for sales in and around the technology space. Learning to dissect complex software solutions and translating them into conversations with others is how he describes his role and skill set. Post-Quantum Cryptography being the latest addition to his skill-set. Outside of work, Amani is a wedding photographer, car enthusiast, avid gamer and really, really, geeks out about football (diehard Arsenal FC supporter).
