We are delighted to hear from Minister of State Sarah Jones MP Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and Department for Business and Trade, to open our sold out Annual Conference today. "To be here in such a diverse room makes a big difference to how confident I feel that we can all make the progress that we want to see." But knowing that the energy sector as a whole has poor female representation, she made a commitment to improving gender diversity: "I am personally motivated to do something about this, with collaboration between industry and government... the energy transition and growth of the economy are foundational aims of the government and equality has to be at the core.
