📸 Potens’ Good Days in Sheffield have been hosting a series of themed days - this time it was Club Tropicana Day! Support Worker Tina planned the session, she said: “Today was Club Tropicana Day! We had beautiful decorations provided by Anna. We all wore Hawaiian shirts and bright clothes. We had music (Wham!) and lots of dancing which we all participated in and enjoyed. “Prizes for the best shirt went to HD, well done HD! Every one looked great. We had lots of food, an 80s quiz and a rubix cube competition which was fantastic - Olayinka was the winner!” 🏆 Looks like an amazing day! 💙💛

At Paxton House, the team endeavour to include all the people we support in activities by adapting to each person’s individual needs - aiming to provide diverse and fun activities for all. 💛 The team at Paxton told us: “On Friday we decided to have a baking afternoon. As you can see in the photos, rice crispy cakes were the choice of the day! 🧁 “Brandon, Lydia, Andrew and Fiona all made their’s in the kitchen with support from Jo. They melted the chocolate and added all ingredients before putting them in the fridge. 👩🍳 “We diversified the method for Eva and Shamita by presenting them with melted chocolate and helping them to add rice crispies and decorations. A bit more support was needed but the results were just as delicious!” 🙌🙌 What a wonderful outcome, with all the people supported at Paxton House joining in with a fun activity. Great job team Paxton! 💙

Mark and June who live at Loftus Supported Living have been to a Buddy Holly Tribute night with senior support worker Diane! They all really enjoyed the night - joining in with the singing and dancing and loved having their photo taken with Brogan Collins who was the singer! 📸🎤🕺

Jason has enjoyed walking from his home Clement House in Llandudno with support worker Jay up to the beautiful Great Orme and then down to West Shore ⛰️ ☀️ Deputy Manager Nicola said: “They have enjoyed walking for 3 hours today and are now relaxing, watching a film, which I think is well deserved!” It certainly is! Supported Lives in Bradford have been celebrating South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) 🎉🎉 ℹ️ South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) runs from the 18th of July to the 17th of August each year. SAHM seeks to commemorate, mark and celebrate South Asian cultures, histories and communities. To mark the month long celebration with the theme of ‘Free to be Me’ our wonderful Admin Assistant, Khadija, organised a big picnic for the people they support and colleagues. Khadija told us: “It was a picnic - but with a twist! Saheed, one of our support workers, suggested that we bring a horse to the event as this is embedded in South Asian culture. So we were joined by Khyber - a beautiful and friendly horse. 🐴 “We spoke about how horses have positively impacted society and how horses embody the term "freedom" which perfectly coincides with this year’s SHAM theme. On a mental and emotional level, horses and horse riding provides relaxation. It helps us to reconnect with nature, so that stress disappears, and we get inner peace! “It was a lovely day that ended with everyone enjoying a traditional homemade biryani dish which went down a treat! 🍽️ “It was truly an incredible day, everyone enjoyed themselves… Thank you to everyone who attended!” 💙💛

Last week has been very busy at Clement House, thanks to the lovely weather! 🌞 Deputy Manager Nicola said, "Jason asked for KFC, so support worker Kim supported him to KFC and he also enjoyed some time playing at the arcade. 🕹 Chloe was supported by Cari to go into Llandudno and they enjoyed looking at clothes followed by a spot of lunch and exploring the local area! 🛍 Then an amazing ending to what had been a busy week when Katie and Ethan were supported by Cari, Kerry & Derek to Venue Cymru to watch Chitty Chitty Bang! Brian, Leo, and Colin from Heath Lodge recently enjoyed a sunny afternoon at Talacre beach in North Wales with staff members Christopher and Dean! 🏖🌞 Senior Support Worker Dean said "We prepared a tasty picnic for the trip and we also made sure we stopped at an ice cream shop for a delicious treat! 🍦 Everyone looked around the seaside shops before heading to the beach itself. Leo bought himself a shell decoration and said, 'This will remind me of the time we came to the beach" with a smile on his face.' 🐚😊 When we got to the beach, there were lots of things to enjoy. Leo and Colin walked to the water's edge picking up shells, while Brian happily chatted away to some of the people who were around. 🙌 We also flew kites and spent some time sitting on the sand enjoying the idyllic view. 🤩 I think we could have all happily spent a whole day relaxing on the sand, but eventually it was time to come home. 🏡 Everyone said that they enjoyed their day out and are looking forward to more in the future!" 🙌 It looks like you all had a great day relaxing and socialising together at the beach - great photos! 📸 💙 #Beach #DayOut #Friends #Fun #Socialising #Sunshine #Sea #SupportWork #SocialCare
