About us
Delivering port infrastructure and services with energy and excellence The Port of Milford Haven is responsible for the biggest port in Wales, and is the largest energy port in the UK. Each year it handles around 29% of Britain’s seaborne trade in oil and gas and is widely recognised in the industry as the energy capital of the UK. The Port, along with the cluster of energy-related businesses along the Waterway, is a key driver of economic activity in Pembrokeshire, attracting inward investment and supporting over 4,000 thousand jobs. The Port of Milford Haven also owns and operates Pembroke Port and Milford Dock. Activities such as cargo handling, ferry operations, fish landing and cruise calls as well as a first class marina are spread across these two sites. One of the most prominent on the West Coast, the Port is in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only Coastal National Park in Great Britain. It is marked as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and has many areas designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The Port of Milford Haven is a trust port – an independent, commercially run organisation that has statutory responsibilities governed by its Acts, to maintain and improve navigation and the provision of Port and Harbour services and facilities. Additionally, the Port provides significant financial and in-kind support to a wide variety of local causes. All profits are retained within the business to fund these objectives.

We're thrilled to be involved in a forward-thinking local initiative dedicated to the growth and development of Pembrokeshire's youth.
⚓️ A brilliant day hosted by the fine folk at the Port of Milford Haven, immersing our learners from Milford Haven School in the three Challenge Briefs we’ve set them as part of our Tomorrow’s Changemakers programme. The future of maritime, renewable energy and sustainable tourism sectors lies in these young hands, and our job is to equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to power those futures with confidence… 💚They'll be applying to these challenge briefs all the skills we've shared with them in the first stage of their journey: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication... and drawing on all the knowledge and concepts from our 4 'Ignite' lessons: systems, sustainability, change, circularity.. 🔥 And then it's time to get inspired by real people who are powering change in all those sectors...marine pilots, energy engineers, hotel managers...makers of ice-cream and seaweed protein and packaging... 🚀Then, in a few weeks we get to see what they've done with that knowledge those skills a real world challenge... 🛳️ Huge thanks to our partners Port of Milford Haven for their time and support in making this day one of adventurous learning! We're proud to announce a new partnership with Blue Horizons CIC Surf Club, which will enable more inclusive access to the Milford Haven Waterway. Monthly boat trips will take place on a vessel provided by DALE SAILING CO. LIMITED and is equipped for wheelchair users. Please be advised works will be taking place outside Tŷ Milford Waterfront for approximately 2 weeks from the 1st July. Works include the moving of disabled parking spaces from outside the building to the Hotel’s main car park adjacent to the hotel, and the addition of a new layby outside of the hotel for drop offs. Lights will be installed to manage traffic during the works, and disruption will be kept to a minimum. A walkway around these works will be created to give access to the hotel for staff and guests.
