Only 21 days left until our podcast studio launch! 🕒 Everyone thought we were crazy for aiming to build it in just five weeks, and honestly, it's been intense. But with three weeks left, we’ve made great strides. Just painted the ceiling a cozy sandy beige instead of black to keep it airy. Control Room One turned out bigger than expected, and Studio One is spacious and ready for action! Day 9 of building our podcast studio in just five weeks.  More walls are up, tracking is in, the acoustic floor is nearly done, and the first fix of the electrics and fire system is complete. Today, Charlotte and I went sofa shopping at Sofa Club. It might seem early, but comfy, stylish furniture is crucial for our studio. We found our favourite, the E.D., thanks to Michelle's help. Day 6 of building our new podcast studio in just five weeks. We're already into week 2 of 5. Do you think we can finish in time? Great progress so far – some of the walls are already up! Next priority: sorting out the flooring dilemma. Thanks to SP Solutions, we've got a plan…. We're installing two floors: the first layer will be green acoustic chipboard on the existing joists with 100mm of insulation. Then, we'll build another floor on top of that. Will it work? Day 3 of building our new podcast studio in just five weeks, and everything around me is falling apart. The issues are stacking up, and the latest one could bring the whole project to a standstill. Issue one: the lift broke before we finished demolition, so everything had to be carried up the stairs. Long day for the lads. 🛠️ Issue two: we found air con pipes exactly where we were installing our fresh air unit. They can't be moved or removed. Issue three: the Mystery Red Pipe. No idea what it was for, but it's disconnected, so it can be removed. Small win there. 🎉 Issue four, the potential showstopper: we assumed there was a concrete slab under the old floor, but it's just wooden beams full of holes. Not good for soundproofing. AC units are getting relocated, and the demo crew is making quick work of it.
