From Lincolnshire to London, girls across the UK are angry and frustrated about the state of equality and girls’ rights. But it doesn't have to be this way. Girls want to be part of creating change and have their voices heard. It’s time for us all to do more and demand better. Together with girls, we can achieve gender equality for this generation. Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We work to give every child, every chance.
About us
Plan International UK is a global children’s charity striving for an equal world. One where every child can reach their full potential and every girl can choose her own future. Poverty, violence, and discrimination still hold back millions of children around the world. And it’s often girls that are most affected. That’s why ensuring girls get equal chances in life is at the heart of everything we do. We work across more than 75 countries to build a future where every child is safe and receives an education. A world where all girls are free from violence, in control of their own body, know their rights and have their voices heard. And if disaster strikes, we’re there too. We work to protect children, keep them learning and help their communities recover. But we don’t do it alone. To create lasting change, we work together with children, local communities, partners, and supporters, like you, who believe a better future is possible. We won’t stop until we are all equal. Will you?

It's #InternationalCoffeeDay, we’re reflecting on our partnership with the Costa Foundation, which supports coffee-growing communities by increasing access to good quality education. Since 2015, we’ve worked together to deliver six key projects, helping to create safe, inclusive spaces where over 5,700 children can learn and grow. Thank you to all who are working to ensure that children in coffee-growing regions can remain in the classroom. Together, we’re working toward a future where every child has the chance to learn to give them the best start at life. #Honduras #Education #GenderEquality #Costa #InternationalCoffeeDay

We have seen an alarming rise in anti-rights movements that seek to strip girls and women of their existing rights in law. We must ensure that all children and young people have access to comprehensive sexuality education to learn about their bodies, their sexuality and what healthy relationships look like. Without meaningful action, we risk girls and young women being robbed of their right to choose their own future.
