Introducing our 2024-25 cohort of welding, pipe fitting and plating apprentices! For the next 11 months our latest group of PJD apprentices will be learning the skills of their trade at the CATCH training facility. We are looking forward to following their journey with CATCH and witnessing their development once they join the rest of the PJD workforce in August 2025. On Friday our Apprentice Line Manager, Mark O'Beirne AWeldI WInst, and our Business Development Manager, Kevin Woolaghan attended the CATCH End of Year Celebration event which saw PJD's first year apprentices walk away with 6 awards!🤩 ⭐Fred Sriprasoet (welding apprentice) took the awards for Rising Star, Welding Practical Competency, 2nd place Apprentice of the Year and 2nd place Employers Apprentice of the Year. ⭐Ajay Bland-Davies (welding apprentice) took the award for Academic Achevier. ⭐Ben O'Connor (pipefitter apprentice) took the award for Most Improved Pipefitting Apprentice. PJD's Head of SHEQ/Apprentices, Richard Hornsby, expressed his sense of pride for our latest intake of apprentices by commenting 'it has been fantastic to see our 2023 intake excel within their roles during their time at CATCH. Apprenticeships are the key to the future of PJD and the industry, and we are excited to be welcoming 12 more into our company in September 2024. Continuing to work with CATCH who have top-class facilities will consistently develop the skills of our apprentices and build them to become future stars of our industry'.
