What a pleasure it's been to spend this Saturday with our partners at Notting Hill Genesis, attending the Aylesbury Employment Fair! The event provided residents with valuable connections to employers that can provide sustainable employment, access to workshops and crucial information on training opportunities available to them, as well as a fun day filled with family activities 👩🔧 👨🎓 Ioana C. and I especially enjoyed delivering the Interview Preparation workshop to those seeking new opportunities at PiLON Ltd or anywhere else - the aim was to help attendees by boosting their confidence and chances of securing their desired jobs and we were delighted to receive such a positive response from those involved. 🗻 We did it! 🗻 On Saturday, our 10 peak challenge team walked for over 12 hours to complete the gruelling 25km route, climbing 10 of Snowdonia’s highest peaks. Collectively we have raised over £6,000 for Thames Hospice, and there is still time to sponsor us: https://lnkd.in/eyYQKhV9 Despite the weather not being on our side, we worked together in true PiLON style to pull each other through, keep spirits high, guide each other across tricky spots and even share our spare shoes. Many of us will still be hobbling about today nursing sore legs and blisters, but we are incredibly proud to have completed what seemed like a never-ending challenge. 🗻 10 Peaks for Thames Hospice 🗻 Last week, our colleagues Joanne De Sousa and Daniela Andone were humbled to visit Thames Hospice, where they learned about the incredible specialist palliative and end-of-life care services provided to individuals aged 16 and over. During their eye-opening tour, Jo and Daniella learned that this incredible charity needs to raise £38k every single day to offer their vital services free of charge. To support this important cause, on June 29th, 32 of our brave colleagues will be taking on the Snowdonia 10 Peak Challenge to raise money for this wonderful charity.
