Honoured to have Barry McGeough - long-standing PI advocate - contributing to Seamless with his piece on 'The Great Contraction: Why Do We Feel so Bad When Things Are So Good?' Read the full story below! 😍
This week, we are honoured to have Barry McGeough - respected fashion innovation leader - contributing to Seamless with his piece on '𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘋𝘰 𝘞𝘦 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘰 𝘉𝘢𝘥 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘚𝘰 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥?' 'In the US these days, we find ourselves living in a business dichotomy, where, at the best of times, every day is a rock fight...This ‘𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’ is literally making the retail world smaller and more deliberate; 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹. Leaders who recognize the dichotomy can better temper the potential whipsaw effects on their businesses. The prescription is twofold: 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!' Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the PI Apparel conference in New York, where fashion visionaries converged to explore the intersection of technology and industry trends, from AI to digital product creation (DPC) and operational scaling. Here are some standout moments from the conference: 1) Innovative 3D Factory LVMH: Nelly Mensah shared insights on how LVMH established a cutting-edge 3D factory in just 8 months, blending technology with legacy preservation. 2) Disruption Across Company Cultures Foot Locker: Ricardo Lajoie discussed how companies of all sizes navigate constant disruption, from culture to product innovation. 3) AI in Apparel Sizing: Exploring AI's role in enhancing apparel sizing for better customer experiences and reduced returns—62% of returns are due to fit issues across brands and regions. 4)Digitalizing the Sampling Phase Champion: Janette Cox outlined strategies for digitizing the sampling process and gaining internal buy-in for that innovation. 5) Building Digital Communities: Jordana Guimaraes and Roy Bernheim emphasized the importance of digital communities for insights and momentum-building in today's challenging D2C landscape. I was inspired by the demos of how AI is revolutionizing customer experiences with 3D avatars for lifelike online shopping and streamlining product development workflows. #PIApparel #FashionTech #DigitalTransformation #AIinFashion #CustomerExperience #Innovation

We have always enjoyed involving Jessica Couch at our events so couldn’t be more pumped to have her contributing this week’s Seamless piece on #ExperientialLearning!
This week, Jessica Couch - FashTech Expert & Retail Strategist - contributes to Seamless with her piece exploring the power of #ExperientialLearning when adopting new #technology 🤖 In her words, ‘…it’s no secret that we are experiencing an unprecedented rate of tech advancement in our sector. Experiential Learning is not only providing a playground for #creativity, #empowerment and #engagement, but is also lessening the anxiety of #learning in parallel, and thus increasing the capacity for #tech adoption.’ Access her article now at https://lnkd.in/eCMg_RUK #fashion #fashiontech #fashiontechnology #techadoption #culture #changemanagement #leadership #digital

HOT TAKE ALERT: There’s a conversation we’re NOT having but should… At PI Apparel in NYC a couple weeks ago, I noticed a crucial gap: Digital Product Creation (DPC) teams and Content Creation teams in photo studios aren't communicating about e-commerce imagery's future. DPC is revolutionizing fashion with 3-D garments, and it's time for creative operations to catch up and learn more about this space. To start the conversation, I’ve written an article below. Take a read! This is my opinion based off of many conversations across the last few months. But I'd love to hear any feedback from my Creative Ops Pros (Nish Patel, Daniel Jester, Clair Carter-Ginn), friends at brands or retailers, or anyone in the DPC industry, and any technologies like Creative Force, Browzwear, CLO Virtual Fashion Inc., Lalaland.ai, Hyland, Maison Meta, Pixelz Inc and beyond! PI Apparel, Pixelz Inc (Flow), HS Creative Operations - Let's foster discussion :) Big thanks to Tiffany Radon, Joanna Tripp Ortiz, Natalya Crump, Randi Seiff any everyone else that entertained conversations on this topic at PI Apparel. #CreativeOps #DigitalTransformation #FashionTech #PIApparel

Our third “Ask the Experts” discussion was posted last week! So excited I get to share space with these amazing minds. This time around, the question is “what practical advice would you have for those tackling a leadership decision to pause or even scale-back on their organization’s digital transformation efforts?” https://lnkd.in/g7GRTURz Seamless PI Apparel
