SFEE SUMMIT INSIGHTS ON GREEK PATIENT ACCESS AND RWE At the 18th of June, I had the opportunity to participate in the #SFEESUMMIT. It was a very interesting and informative event, full of vivid discussions and good networking opportunities. It was great to re-connect with ex-colleagues from the #pharmaceuticalindustry, clients and last but certainly not least, the great collaborators from Croma, my loving Athina Moissidou and Venia Allamani, and from JUST ONE | Recruitment & Executive Search agency, Matthieu Gardaire who elevated the #headhunding search in new levels with transparency, respect and openness, resulting in enormous growth in the pharmaceutical industry as well! Great to see you all in good health and try to cope with all challenges of the Greek healthcare environment and pharmaceutical market. It was very nice to see all involved stakeholders #government, #industry, #academia, #patient groups, #scientific associations, #consulting firms, #ECexecutives #medicaldevices technologies to participate in active discussions and align in the common objective, #innovativetreatments in timely manner for Greek patients. From policy making perspective it was great to see alignment and common understanding among the #pharmaindustry and #govenment in the challenges of the GR HC sector, ie. Increase public expenditure in pharmaceuticals, reduce clawback rates (which are interconnected fields anyway), reward innovation and enhance patient Greek access in innovative medicines in timely manner within the average of EZ countries, keep existing patent levels duration at 8 years, without any reduction. The important aspect from health economics & policy perspective is that the ministry of health & ministry of digital governance will eventually permit the secondary use of #RWE. This was the first time we heard that from the mouth of GR officials. The second important element, was the growing interest in #digital and #medical devices and the numerous organizations that have been created along this #ecosystem which were unknown, at least to me. The insightful presentation of Aristos Doxiadis was really interesting and enabled the link of different parts of the puzzle which were missing.    The holistic pathway of the #cancerpatient was discussed with a fantastic panel of stakeholders covering holistically the topic. Let's hope that in the near future will be able to see the outcomes from the 1st Greek #oncologyregistry from ΕΟΠΕ - HeSMO Overall impression positive, many promises which need to be realized in the near future to allow #patientaccess to Greek patients and #RWE data access to Greek scientists and decision makers. #SFEESUMMIT #DIGITALTECHNOLOGIES #RWE #EHDS #PATIENTACCESS

Completion of public consultation on the #HealthTechnologyAssessmentRegulation (HTAR). Yesterday the public consultation of HTAR was completed. It is very encouraging to read the constuctive feedback by 129 European and global #federations, #scientificorganizations, #universities, #pharmaceuticalindustry and most importantly 42% from #patientassociations. The active engagement of patient associations in the HTA procedure is amazing and designates the willingness of patients to participate actively in the procedure. I would like to thank all patient representatives from all EU countries for the support in the new HTAR. Most comments performed by Belgium, Germany, France, Netherlands and Spain.
