🧀 Scone or Scone? Perfect for afternoon tea or a savory snack, our cheese scones are easy to make and go down a treat! Here’s the recipe: 🧑🍳 Ingredients: • 225g self-raising flour • 1 tsp baking powder • 55g Organic Herd Unsalted Butter, cubed • 150g Organic Extra Herd Mature Cheddar, grated • 100ml Organic milk, plus extra for brushing • A pinch of salt 👩🍳 Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. 3. Rub the cubed butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. 4. Stir in the grated Organic Herd cheese, saving a little to sprinkle on top. 5. Gradually add the milk and mix until a soft dough forms. Don’t overwork it! 6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently roll it to about 2cm thickness. 7. Cut out rounds using a biscuit cutter and place them on the prepared tray. 8. Brush the tops with milk and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. 9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and well risen. Serve warm with a spread of butter or enjoy with a slab of Organic Herd Spicy & Marbled Velvet Cheese. Happy baking!

Happy Birthday Organic Herd! Today, we’re raising a glass (or maybe a milk jug!) to celebrate two incredible milestones. It’s been a whole year since we rebranded ourselves from Omsco into Organic Herd! But that’s not all - this year also marks 30 years since we started our dairy journey back in 1994 with the creation of The Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative. 🌱🥛 For three decades, we’ve committed ourselves to doing things the right way - because how we farm really matters. From our early days as a small bunch of enthusiastic organic farmers, we’ve grown into a leading name in UK organic dairy. Through it all, we’ve stayed true to our values of sustainability, caring for our animals, and creating delicious dairy products. We couldn't have got to where we are today without our amazing team, our passionate farmers, and of course, our beloved cows! 🐮 Here’s to many more years of shaking up the dairy industry and proving that organic is the way forward.
