The Suez Canal Authority has introduced a new regulation that any vessel that refuses or is unable to have a mooring service on board will be subject to additional fees of US$5,000. This is in place of imposing a tugboat as stipulated in the SC Rules of Navigation. The change takes effect from 1st May 2024. View the circular.
