With solar power set to become the largest form of electricity generation capacity globally by 2040, improving forecast accuracy is essential. We're delighted to share that we were featured in National Grid ESO's recent Innovation Annual Summary! Working with AI Centre for Excellence Manager, Lyndon Ruff, our Solar PV Nowcasting project has successfully increased ESO's forecasting accuracy by around 40%. The success of this project has the potential to cement Great Britain as a leading innovator in the energy transition, as the Nowcasting tool could theoretically be adopted by numerous global electricity system operators.
