Liam O'Flynn, our Senior Geoscientist at OPC, recently visited the BGS Core Store to study the Rotliegend and Bunter analogue core for a CCS project. Liam had fantastic discussions spanning petrophysics, geology, and reservoir engineering. Meet the OPC Team: Mykyta Hladylchenko. Mykyta is a Petroleum Engineer at OPC and specialises in Reservoir Engineering, Well Testing, Pressure Transient Analysis and, Carbon Capture and Storage. He joined our team earlier this year and is based in our London office. With dual master’s degrees in Petroleum and Oil & Gas Engineering, Mykyta brings a wealth of knowledge and technical proficiency to every project. 🎓 Reflecting on his time at OPC so far, Mykyta highlights one of his proudest achievements: "I’m particularly proud of my contribution to the Corrib Summer Shutdown PTA project. My focus was on skin decoupling and estimating the connected volumes to the wells. It was a critical, high-stakes task requiring precise analysis to optimize well performance, and I’m thrilled with the results we achieved." New leadership announcement! We are excited to announce that Max Richards, Group Business Development Manager at OPC, has been appointed Chair of the SPE Net Zero Gaia, SPE London Section. Max, who has been involved with the SPE Net Zero committee for three years and has participated in some major initiatives says: "I'm committed to giving back to our community and colleagues.
