Last week, the Customer Experience team at Novuna Consumer Finance organised a Wear Yellow Day across our sites to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, raising over £3,000 through bake sales, a raffle and a silent auction. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a charity dedicated to undertaking life-changing research and helping the 11,000 people in the UK affected by Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic condition affecting the lungs, digestive system and other vital organs. Earlier this month, colleagues from Novuna volunteered at local schools to help develop the talent of tomorrow with our charity partner, Young Enterprise UK, a national charity specialising in enterprise and financial education to prepare young people for the world of work. At Heckmondwike Grammar School, five colleagues from Novuna Consumer Finance mentored a group of Year 9 students on how to start their own businesses, covering topics such as pitching business ideas, marketing a business, designing a website, and building a brand. Meanwhile, at the Magna Carta School in Staines, five colleagues from Novuna Business Finance taught key transferable skills to two groups of Year 10 students, including what realistic salaries might look like for different career paths and effective budgeting techniques to better manage their finances. Not only did our colleagues learn a lot from mentoring the students, but they were able to inspire the next generation with a glimpse of what their future could look like and showcase the careers available at Novuna! #Volunteering #Charity #FinancialEducation

The event saw a record turnout of physical buyers, with over 100 Novuna staff in attendance, creating a memorable auction day.
