Notts TV is Nottinghamshire's only local TV station. It's broadcast seven days a week on Virgin 159 , Freeview Channel 7. Catch up On Demand. Programmes include local news, sport, politics, business, community activities, history and debate. The programmes are produced by a dedicated team set up to run the channel. Notts TV was awarded a 12 year licence to broadcast a TV channel beginning in May 2014. 's

In 2016, NTU and Communication University of China (CUC) joined forces, creating the Faculty of International Media (ICUC) in Beijing, offering Chinese students multiple transformative joint Master's programmes. At the core of this partnership is NTU's internationalisation strategy, providing Chinese students with a unique dual-experience — a UK university education in their home country and in the UK. This approach enables students to adapt to the British style of teaching, learning, and assessment, enhancing their English language skills before arriving in the UK. The joint Master's programmes unfold over two years. The first year takes place in Beijing, while the second year brings most students to NTU, where they delve into dissertations and gain valuable work experience.
