In recognition of the important role the Civil Service staff networks play in promoting and supporting an inclusive workplace, Finance Minister Caoimhe Archibald hosted an event today with Civil Service staff networks. The event recognised and celebrated the passion, dedication, and contribution of networks. Jayne Brady, Head of the Civil Service, and members of NICS Board and Diversity Champions Network attended the event alongside representatives from each of the staff networks. During the event, each of the five staff networks showcased their achievements to date and outlined their strategic priorities for 2024/25. The Finance Minister said: “Today’s event demonstrates that the importance of staff networks cannot be underestimated in promoting inclusion, encouraging active allyship and providing a sense of belonging and support for colleagues. I welcomed the opportunity to meet with each of the networks today. It was inspiring to hear how they have contributed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the Civil Service. The Civil Service is fortunate to have such a dedicated group of colleagues prepared to make a difference by being active network members and I look forward to seeing their continued success.”
