Next month, we’re delighted to be hosting a special exhibition at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, alongside one of Britain’s most sought-after artists – Jeremy Houghton. Houghton was Northampton Saints’ Artist in Residence during the 2023/24 season, and has created a series of paintings which celebrate the players and the Club’s unsung heroes, in a collection of oil paintings named ‘Saints and Champions’. This collection offers up a stunning collection of artworks showcasing the energy and movement of the players, which Jeremy so skilfully reflects in his painting. “I hope my paintings of Saints reflect the narrative of these brave, talented, humble men, seizing their opportunities to be the best people they can possibly be,” he said. “The passion on the pitch is matched by the passion in the stands. This is the energy I hope I have created in my work.” Jeremy has been the Artist in Residence at Wimbledon, the America’s Cup, Goodwood and at Windsor Castle for Queen Elizabeth II. He was also the official artist of the London Olympic Games in 2012. He has raised more than £100,000 for charitable organisations throughout his career, and this exhibition will raise vital funds for Northampton Saints Foundation – a charity which aims to change the lives of disadvantaged and disengaged young people in Northamptonshire and beyond. Date: Monday 11 November Time: 7pm to 9pm Q&A with Jeremy: 7.30pm Venue: Directors Lounge, cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens Parking: VIP Car Park, Weedon Road, NN5 5BG A welcome drink will be available on arrival, with the bar open thereafter. All paintings are originals and will be available to purchase, with a commission from every sale being donated towards Northampton Saints Foundation. The event capacity is limited to just 120 people – if you are interested in receiving an invite, please contact [email protected]. If you cannot attend on Monday 11 November, but would like to view a catalogue of paintings from the ‘Saints Champions’ collection, please contact [email protected] or visit https://lnkd.in/ecEpkrab
