Retail Apparel and Fashion

Fashion with conscience.

About us

Do you care about the world around you and the people you share it with? Do you want your clothes to be sourced and made in a way that benefits people and minimises the impact on the environment? We do. Make better decisions. Shop with a conscience. Show you care. We’re giving people better lives, supporting economies and reducing textile waste. Creating a style that looks good because it is good. Discovering Nobody’s Child is step one, let’s do this together and change fashion one dress at a time. At Nobody’s Child we do things differently, leading where we can. Our conscience drives our desire to be better and we’re honest about our green credentials. We produce clothes that you’ll want to wear again and again - the aim of the game is to avoid landfill, not add to it. London is our home, where in-house designers create unique and individual prints and shapes synonymous with Nobody’s Child. We don’t believe in standard seasonal collections, so instead we drop new lines regularly. By producing small collections (warning: our stuff doesn’t hang around for long) and refreshing our signature shapes in new fabrics and prints, we’re committed to making only what we really believe in.

We’re incredibly proud of our leading Digital Product Passport tech partner, Fabacus, for their well-deserved win at the Licensing Awards, taking home the ‘Best Sustainable Licensed Product’ for their #DigitalProductPassport. 🏆  In collaboration with the HAPPY PLACE by Fearne Cotton collection, our work with Fabacus and their #DPPtechnology has unlocked a whole world of product information, all accessible through a QR care label. Together, we’re bridging the gap between where our clothes are made and the people that wear them. 🌍

We only went and won! 🏆 It was a brilliant night at the Licensing Awards last night with some of the Fabacus UK team and EMEA client partners. We are absolutely thrilled to have taken home the award for ‘Best Sustainable Licensed Product’, for our #DigitalProductPassport work with our wonderful collaborators, leading the way in sustainable fashion, Nobody's Child and their HAPPY PLACE by Fearne Cotton collection. It was the first licensed collection in the UK to use the #DPP technology last year, giving users a clear view into the supply journey of the garment in their hands, and its sustainably-manufactured credentials. A big congratulations to all the other nominees, doing excellent work to forward the sustainability mission of licensing, along with the brilliant team at Products of Change, ensuring a brighter future for the industry and consumers globally. Thank you to the team of judges as well as all those at Max Publishing (London) - Multimedia Events, LicensingSource.net, and supporters, Licensing International. We are looking forward to the industry coming together again in 2 weeks for Brand Licensing Europe and being able to showcase what we have coming next! #awardwinning #licensingawards #sustainability #awards #teamnight #licensing #retail #partnership

This week, our CEO Jody Plows and Founder Andrew Xeni had the pleasure of meeting three passionate Master’s students from University of West London, studying International Fashion Business Management. Each presented a marketing strategy for NC’s international expansion into new markets and conceptualised an immersive pop-up experience. We were so impressed by their creativity and fresh perspective, and look forward to welcoming them back to our head office for work experience where they can put some ideas into action. Watch this space!

Last week, our very own Philippa (Philly) Grogan, Sustainability Manager at Nobody’s Child, took to the stage at the Incubeta event: Bridging the Gap Between Sustainability and Ecommerce. Joining an inspiring panel of speakers from Scope3 and The GoodNet to dive into the intersection of sustainability and e-commerce, she sparked conversations around real, actionable change. 👏 Here are Philippa’s key takeaways from the day: - Embed sustainability into every layer of e-commerce to drive real impact. It’s key for environmental impact reduction, accelerating and amplifying circular business models, and obtaining customer insights. - Make it easy for customers to access the right information to enable informed decision making and enhance awareness of the (often) complicated sustainability landscape. - Collaboration is everything. Whether it’s industry-wide or peer-to-peer, we face these environmental challenges together as a planet. 🌍  #Sustainability #Ecommerce #Nobody’sChild #SustainabilityInFashion #CircularEconomy

As summer transitions into autumn, we're thrilled to unveil our AW24 collection, Femme Boheme. Now available online and in-store. This season, we embrace a modern take on 70s bohemia. Sleek and subdued pieces are given a crafted feel using natural and recycled fibres, artistic embroidery, and undone ruffles, keeping the look both creative and minimalist, powerful and free. Neutral palettes are punctuated by soft pastel shades, while true leopard print makes a romantic comeback. Casual styles are given a heritage touch with Americana-inspired denim and accents of check, all lovingly crafted from the responsible materials we’re known for.    Exploring the idea of real balance, our commitment to responsibility shines through in some of our favourite fibres:   🐑 Wool that has been third-party verified to uphold animal welfare principles and responsible land management.  🌱 Organic cotton that has been produced without agricultural chemicals, helping to reduce pollution while better supporting soil health and biodiversity.  ♻️ Recycled polyester which helps to keep existing materials in use and out of waste streams, and recycled cashmere recovers existing materials and reduces production of virgin materials. We’re on a mission to bring responsible fashion to every woman, everywhere. Visit us online or in-store to experience the latest responsible collection 🍁🍂

Recently our founder, Andrew Xeni discussed Digital Product Passports at TheIndustry.fashion & TheIndustry.beauty LIVE. We’re proud to be one of the first fashion brands to explore DPPs outside of the luxury sector – and it makes us even prouder to see Andrew up on stage talking about it.    Find out more in the post below.

Last week, our Ecommerce & Digital Director, Chris Bishop, was a guest on a panel at the Drapers Future of Fashion Conference in London.   Joined by Rebecca Thomson from DrapersSophie Drake of Never Fully Dressed and blubolt's Iestyn Keyes, Chris discussed the importance of understanding data to personalise the customer journey. His key point was that “what you don’t measure, doesn’t exist”. At Nobody’s Child we use multiple SaaS platforms such as digital experience intelligence and analytics platform Contentsquare as well as Algolia for dynamic merchandising, onsite search and product recommendations.    Through collaboration with our tech partners, we’re proud to be learning more about how we can turn data into learnings that really make a difference to our customer – the very people who sit at the heart of our brand.

We’re thrilled to share that our Ecommerce Trading Manager, Helena Hastings, recently participated in a Pulse eCommerce Summit ‘24 panel discussion hosted by Commerce Thinking alongside other esteemed industry leaders from Axel Arigato and H&M. During the panel, Helena provided valuable insights into trading and optimisation, highlighting the strategies we’ve put in place at Nobody’s Child, using tools such as Contentsquare. The conversation on sustainability was particularly impactful, where Helena spoke on DPP (Digital Product Passport) and the necessity of robust data to inform customers on traceability and transparency. Go Helena!
