Breaking down barriers to financial health is what drives Experian and we are today delighted to announce a new partnership with World and Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox. A four-time gold medal winner, Kadeena will be promoting Experian Support Hub, a free platform which allows users to share their access and support needs with multiple businesses in one go. She said: “I am delighted to be working with Experian. Support Hub is a great service which knocks down barriers for those with disabilities and access needs, helping people get the service they deserve. “Like many people with a disability, it impacts my daily life in ways which people can’t see. Something as simple as contacting and speaking with service providers can sometimes feel like an exhausting chore – that’s why a service like Support Hub is so important.” Jose Luiz Rossi, Managing Director, Experian UK&I, said: “Kadeena is one of the country’s most successful paralympic athletes and we are very proud that she is working with us on one of our most important initiatives. “Experian Support Hub helps solves a real consumer issue, and made with inclusivity in mind, enabling people to share their access and support needs in a simple, standardised way so they can get access to services in a way which is most appropriate to them.” To find out more about Kadeena and Support Hub check out the video below and to sign-up to the service head to https://lnkd.in/dEHpKPcN. #ExperianSupportHub #Accessibility

We know that it’s easier to be brilliant when you can be yourself. Yesterday, we were proud to join our community partner, Family Action, at #LeedsPride – Yorkshire’s biggest celebration of LGBTQ life. It was also a pleasure to host the Out in Tech London community in our King’s Cross office last month: a panel of LGBTQ hiring managers talked openly about how to move your tech career forward. #pride #lifeatnewday #bebrilliant #beyourself

A call out to the wonderful individuals and organisations who’ve supported our Vulnerability and Inclusion Awareness programme this month. With a focus on sharing lived experience, it has helped hundreds of us think about what this means for our customers and colleagues. We hosted a brilliant panel discussion, chaired by Danielle Barron (Fisher), our Head of Customer Outcomes, Risk and Governance, who interviewed Chris Fitch, PhD, FRSPH from the Money Advice Trust, Dr Elizabeth Blakelock from Monzo Bank and Praveen Kolluguri MBA from EE BT. We thank our panellists for sharing their deep understanding of hashtag #vulnerability, helping us to reflect on why hashtag #inclusion is so important in financial services and in the workplace. Thanks also go out to: · Sir David Holmes CBE from Family Action, who launched the Vulnerability and Inclusion Awareness programme with our Credit CEO, Rob Holt. · Alpesh Tanna and Symran B. from Microsoft, who helped us understand how digital accessibility features can open doors. · Paul Lamont from Experian, talked to us about our partnership with Support Hub which is a market-leading service that allows consumers to disclose their support needs across multiple organisations in one go. · Andy Brampton from #ANDYSMANCLUB#ANDYSMANCLUB#ANDYSMANCLUB, who talked about their pioneering work to stop male suicide. · Breda Leyne from Signing Banks who talked about an industry initiative that NewDay are involved with to improve access to financial services for people who use sign language and those with hearing loss. Supported by BSL interpreters, Rubbena Aurangzeb-Tariq and Sanjida Aktar shared their lived experience of hearing loss and the challenges that they face. · Chris Jay and Hannah Bateson, behavioural experts at Cowry Consulting, who explained some key principles that can empower people with vulnerability to take charge of their finances. · Carolyne Threadgold from Dementia Friends, who shone a light on how we can support and include people with dementia. · Trish Cassidy from the England Illegal Money Lending Team, who talked about loan sharks and their devastating impact on lives. · Catriona Still and Paul Maskell of the Dedicated Card and Payment Crime Unit (DCPCU), who talked to us about behavioural vulnerability in the context of scams and fraud, preventative measures and how we support victims. · Emilie Parkin from StepChange, who spoke to us about the support they offer to customers and how they help thousands of people become debt free every year. · Sarah Hall, a Bupa psychological therapist, who discussed how cognitive behavioural therapy can support those of us who have vulnerabilities because of poor mental health. Kudos to Danielle and Christian Masters, Anouski Roberts, Todd Watkins, Clement Hiza, Laura Parkinson, Nicola Beaver (Syms) and Philomena Quinn for driving this with such passion and commitment – and everyone else involved.
