Why Solar PV Maintenance is Important Dust, debris, or bird droppings can accumulate on the panels and reduce their efficiency. Additionally, by scheduling routine inspections, you can catch potential issues before they turn into costly repairs. 1. Visual Inspection 2. Cleaning your Panels 3. Monitoring System Performance 4. Professional Servicing 5. Inverter Checks 6. Maintenance Logs With a commitment to excellent service, we support you from design, and installation to maintenance, offering you peace of mind. #renewableenergy #solarenergy #solarpv #solarinstallers

I think there is a misconception that a solar panel is just a solar panel. When it comes to how long a panel will last, that couldn't be more wrong. You can buy different levels of solar panels just as you can mobile phones. Every panel we install is a tier 1 rated panel which is the highest level you can get and comes with a 12 year manufacturer warranty and a 30 year degradation warranty. Ultimately, it depends on what quality of panel you use and how you take care of them, cleaning annually, install quality etc but solar panels we install should last 30 years . If you aren't sure, or have question about which solar panels are "best", give our team a call on 01522 712 131. #renewableenergy #solarenergy #solarpanel #solarinstallation

Last Friday the NerG team took a day off to spend some quality time together in the Peak District. We spent the day with Lost Earth Adventures Caving and rock climbing. It turns out those of the team who are used to climbing in and out of boilers had a knack for the caving. After a slightly soggy day, the team finished at a local pub for good food and drinks. What a great way to see in quarter 4 and spend some time together! As of Monday morning, we were back to hard work, refreshed and energised. I definitely would recommend Lost Earth for a team day, they were fantastic to work with and great at accommodating our bunch of Nergies! #lincolnshireteam #teamday

Solar panels are not all built equally, commercial panels will have different production results than residential ones. But, how many kWh can a commercial solar panel produce? If we assume that on average a solar panel will absorb around 5-6 hours of sunlight a day. We use panels that are 585w. To work out how much they produce we would do the following calculation: 6 (hours) X 585 (w) = 3.51kWh per panel. #renewableenergy #solarpower #commercialsolar

Common solar PV misconceptions How solar panels generate electricity: Many people believe this is through heat, but in fact, it is through sunlight. Solar panels can work on a cloudy day or in cold weather. Solar energy is too expensive: Through recent years the price of solar has significantly dropped and with the assistance of government schemes and grants solar panels are becoming more affordable for a lot of businesses. Solar panels are not environmentally friendly: Over their lifespan, solar panels generate more clean energy than is required to produce them, which reduces their overall greenhouse gas emissions. #sustainability #greenenergy #solarpv #commercialsolar

Can you burn any wood in a biomass boiler? Whilst you can theoretically burn any wood in a biomass boiler, there are a couple of key considerations: Environmental permits - If a boiler was originally certified on a specific fuel type, for instance, virgin woodchip, and then an owner wants to change to burning waste wood for instance, then this would likely invalidate their environmental permit or require them to obtain a permit where they might not have needed one before. Combustion settings Changing fuel types is possible in a boiler, but one needs to be very careful of the combustion settings for the boiler. For instance, myscanthus has a very low ash melting point and so settings on a boiler would need to be changed dramatically if you wanted to burn this type of biomass. Not changing the settings correctly will lead to ash melting in the combustion chamber and the creation of clinker, which can be very damaging to the boiler and ash augers. Higher servicing costs NerG look after over 400 boilers, and so have a lot of experience in understanding the maintenance required on different fuel types. We often find that clients burning recycled wood often have more issues than those burning virgin woodchip. So whilst the wood is cheaper to buy in the short term, there are often higher maintenance costs picked up in the long term for burning lower quality fuel. #biomassboiler #renewableenergy #commercialbiomass

Did you realise how big solar panels really are? Our Canadian Solar Inc. panels are a whopping 2.3m X 1.2M. It is often thought that all panels are the same size, but there is a big difference between domestic panels and the ones you see here. #solarpower #commercialsolar #renewableenergy

This week we have been out to a client for a service, our team captured some great images of the before and after of the undergrate. This is a great depiction of why regular services are vital for the health of your biomass boiler. Well done team! #renewableenergy #biomassboiler #biomassservice

Our engineers have been steaming ahead with the solar farm project at Moulton Bulb Co. Ltd. Over the past couple of weeks, they have been busy installing all the Clenergy Europe ground mounting system frames, mounting many rows of Canadian Solar Inc. panels and mounting Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. inverters. It was great to catch up with the team Abdullah Ahmad, Dan ZHAO, and Stella Yu on site. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be finishing mounting all solar panels and inverters then installing a 1000KVA transformer, closed coupled LV Cabinet and RMR circuit breaker! #renewableenergy #solarpv #solarpvinstallation
