In May 2020, we launched during a key event in history with our core aim to support so many individuals who struggle to find themselves, their place in society and be recognised for their core abilities - their Natural Talents. Funnily enough our positioning was driven by "Unlocking Potential" which today seems to the be the buzz word for many other brands big and small. Does that mean that we hit on something truly inspirational or is it just that others realised the impact of what this term inspires. Hey ho, either way the one good thing is that nearly 5 years later, here we are still fighting this fight and with the same goals and ambitions, seeing so many finally uncover their true value and potential. How many other companies do you know who use the term "Unlock your Potential"? Let us know below in the comments so we can see how influential we might have been on other brands. We'd love to hear and most of all, are proud to know that our brand is a key attribute to delivering real value. Thanks for our continued followers, believers and here's to working with many more of you whose lives we can change.

About us
The NTM platform works for all educational establishments, charities & programmes focusing on supporting all genres into the workplace. It also works as an effective platform for employers across the UK, Europe and beyond to connect with new talent that has otherwise remained hidden and untapped. The flexibility and intuitive design of the platform means it is set to become the central point for support, interaction & knowledge, supporting many different audiences, including held-back communities, young offenders, those with special educational needs, the disabled, ex-military & back to work situations etc. NTM is also a highly suitable solution for organisations to use internally to profile their own staff, thereby giving them a greater understanding of the Talents/Attributes that they possess. By comparing them to other roles within the organisation they can be effectively redeployed into new or future roles. NTM facilitates the effective engagement of new talent and opens up the potential of Work Placements and helps to nurture and guide talent before they join. NTM is designed to become a key component in an individual’s everyday life as a mechanism for boosting their own confidence in themselves, as a tool that demonstrates their value & worth to themselves & the workplace and as a platform to develop their own careers & aspirations. NTM fills a gap in the market by enabling everyone to shine, regardless of background. It is a simple and effective mechanism that can be used by any age group from the young to the old.

It will be really interesting to see how the Skills England drive will allow new innovation to be considered and include companies like ourselves in the drive to making real change. All too often the ideas are put through groups who already are part of the current process removing new thinking from the field. We really hope that this isn't going to be the same old, same old - what's your thoughts? Simon Ashworth Department for Education

If you're interested in yesterday's new "Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (Transfer of Functions etc) Bill" (what a name BTW), then the DfE has also published a useful policy summary. Below are the amalgamated points of interest, link to the full summary below. There is also an impact analysis, although the link to that wasn't working this morning. The policy paper explains further why the IfATE's statutory powers are being transferred to the Secretary of State - Skills England doesn't exist fully yet. It also explains more on how standards and assessment plans might be altered in the future without the use of trailblazer groups, although worth noting this isn't the default position and supposedly allows for more flexibility and agility where convening a group might be "unnecessary or restrictive" for minor alterations or adjustments. Interesting to see how that one plays out in the future once the Bill is actually enacted and Skills England is fully established. The second reading of the Bill is scheduled for the 22nd October. #SkillsEngland #IfATE #AskAshworth #SkillsMeansGrowth AELP https://lnkd.in/eXG-BUSN

Our next phase in creating a society where everyone is seen for their true talent is now here and it is vital that we all consider how changes needs to be for the betterment and not just to try and plaster over a broken system. This needs to be an era of understanding individuals at an early stage of their life so that we can nurture in a positive way, help them embrace their talents and see how they will be the building blocks of their future. Education needs to see each student in the form of possibility and understand why some of the curriculum is just not going to develop their skills and most of all, see each and every one of them as individuals with abilities and talents that will drive them all in different directions to ensure they leave education with the ability to be employed for those foundational positive attributes that will secure jobs/opportunities for all. What would you change about the curriculum and assessment system? Earlier today Professor Becky Francis met staff and students at Greenwood Academy, Birmingham, to hear their views. Find out how you can get involved: https://lnkd.in/empGZj6d

This highlights the shift in change that is essential to ensure jobs for all and we see our tools being a hugely powerful way to support this journey. If we can start to build really tangible data on the local talent pools then it has to enthuse local employers to get more involved and bridge the gap with education to turn the tide of sourcing new diverse talent for our future skills needs. Department for Education Sukyna Powell See how this can become a new reality https://lnkd.in/ew2enHXb #thinkingdifferently #skillsforall #talentpools
Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson have announced reforms giving employers more flexibility to fund a broader range of training and apprenticeships. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eB4yrXjh

Naturally Talented Me reposted this
A great example of how Hidden Talent could have changed history and why we need to embrace new talent for our future.

So here we are again - seeing how the broken process is still failing so many. This is the time to change with the new drivers around #SkillsEngland and of course the way we want to bridge the skills gaps. There is so much untapped and diverse talent out there, if only #Employers and #Government could see through the clutter and try a new approach! Cristina Criddle Jess Flack FHEA Financial Times
🔊 The inequity argument in the excellent article from Financial Times "Jobhunters flood recruiters with AI-generated CVs" fascinates me. But I don't think that AI is the problem, here's why 👇👀 👉 Having worked on both sides of the fence in preparing people for employment and recruiting them, I can categorically say that inequity has always existed - otherwise CV writers would never have been so prolific, nor would carefully crafted templates. 👉 AI is a cleverer, more (for some, not all - especially not those who are digitally excluded), easily accessible CV writer, equally less detectable at the moment. 🤯 So the problem isn't AI. 🧐 The problem is human nature. We have always and will always seek the path of least resistance - technology enables us to achieve that, making difficult, complex and time-consuming processes easier, more efficient etc. 💡 So if we can't change, our recruitment processes need to - right? ❤ Naturally Talented Me is a really great example of how recruitment processes don't need to be fancy, or try and outwit candidates, leaving them to feel they're not good enough and seek out AI to show otherwise. 🔥 Good, honest strength-based approaches to recruitment that allow a candidate to shine in their own right. Yes to this. 🎉Catch all not catch out. #flackthink #AI #recruitment
