What makes Superblend Protein Powder so special? We asked our Product Director, Brett Hamer, to share his thoughts on one of our newest and game-changing products: "We created Superblend because it really is a great protein source. When we review innovations, sustainability is a major consideration for us, but the product also has to deliver as a quality product and the upcycled barley really does that. "As a brand, we're focusing on how we can continue to deliver leading sports nutrition, whilst also providing customers with ingredients & products that can positively benefit their health & wellness too. Utilising barley as a protein source meant that our new protein product is not only environmentally conscious, but it also offers naturally occurring vitamins & minerals from the barley that other proteins don't. "This wasn't a normal development, the Myprotein team worked alongside the Evergrain team to evolve the flavour, and we are thrilled with the results. Last Friday, we celebrated the launch of the second cohort to embark on the Myprotein High Performers 'Mycon' Programme 🎉 We took the team members for lunch and a Padel masterclass at Hale Country Club. Driving an F1 car is one of the most physical challenges in sport. Drivers often have to deal with 5G forces, temperatures of up to 60 degrees celsius, and the brakes can require 100kg of force - resulting in a heart rate of up to 170BPM throughout a race. Through our partnership with Williams Racing, we want to show just how superhuman the drivers need to be to compete at the highest level. That's why we're proud to launch our new series in collaboration with the team - Human To Hero - which will show exactly how key team members prepare themselves to compete at the highest level on race day. Episode one focuses on Alex Albon - looking at his recovery after a Grand Prix before readying himself for the next race. Nutrition, rest and training is key - especially ahead of three race weekends on the bounce starting in Barcelona this weekend.
