    Creative Director at Multiply Agency

    Today I start my next journey at Multiply as Creative Director. Pride doesn’t even come close to what this means to me as a creative, and as a person. In the 10 years I’ve been here I’ve had the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life. This company has supported me throughout my career, and during the darkest period of my life, allowing my wife and I to take on blood cancer without the worry of how we pay the bills. Multiply has also given me the opportunity to work with incredible clients and amazing people. I’ve watched us win huge business, tons of awards, and grow as an agency. We’re a talented bunch at the Multitude, and I am beyond excited to see how this next chapter unfolds. I joined Multiply over a decade ago, after plucking up the courage to offer my assistance as chief tea maker in an email to their contact address. I had recently been made redundant, so was on the lookout for a new gig. Luckily for me, there was a serendipitous opportunity to join the agency as a Junior Designer. It was an exciting start to life at Multiply. I remember being blown away by the inclusive approach to ideation that was like nothing I’d experienced before at other agencies. This process is something we still champion today, to get the best out of the creative idea and our talented staff. I’ll never forget partner Kate Fenton describing the agency to me on my first day - “We’re like the ninjas of the marketing world, sneaking in and getting opportunities from the biggest brands”. Not much has changed on that front, we still mix it with the biggest agencies and do incredible work, without the clout of a larger umbrella group, from our home in Edinburgh. However, we have evolved and shifted across the years to take on any challenge, with that underdog attitude still underpinning our ethos, to take on any challenge and Multiply brand possibilities. In my time here, I have worked as Chief Tea Maker, Junior Designer, Illustrator, Art Director, Copywriter, and Head of Art in this wonderful place, and today I start my new journey as Multiply’s Creative Director.     The Moos at 10 We were tasked by the team at the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) in 2021 to create a virtual reality walkthrough showcasing the "Life of Dairy" that was recently featured on the BBC news. The project combines 3D video with interactive sections, bringing the cheese production process to life – delicious! With the growth of British Food & Drink exports and globalising taste buds, our digital team have been putting immersive tech into the spotlight to help communicate anything - from the history of dinosaurs to the journey of dairy.     LITTLE BEDZ FOR SLEEPY HEADS 💡   When Sleepeezee decided to introduce a new member to their family of beds and mattresses, our Insights and Innovation team rejoiced. Naturally, we love a creative challenge, and there’s nothing like a bit of NPD to get the brains whirring. Between a talented team of Designers, Art Directors and Copywriters – Little Bedz was born. Designed to ‘take the boredom out of bedtimes’, this platform gave Little Bedz a soft tone matched with a bright look and feel. We wanted to show how often children see furniture as more than the intended purpose. The bed is more than a place to sleep – for children, it’s a den, a hiding place, a trampoline and more.   From the initial brand identity and logo right through to the final product shoot, launch assets & a trade stand feature at The Bed Show, it’s safe to say Little Bedz has made a big impact.   #Multiply #Sleepeezee #LittleBedz #Insight #Development #Creative

    Celebrating Scottish football with Tennent’s Lager. This year, we had the pleasure of working with C&C Group and the team at Bright Signals to bring a playful, football focused promotion to life for Tennent’s Lager in the off trade. Celebrating Scotland’s qualification into the UEFA European Championship in 2024, and their road to Germany this year. The promotion sees a new pack; showcasing six illustrations, the key visual by Studio Something and microsite; to highlight the Scotland’s team iconic moments from the qualifying stages. The promotion will test Tennent’s fans on their Scottish football knowledge and the limited-edition pack design with an interactive quiz, giving drinkers the chance to win limited edition Tennent’s Tankards as well as the grand prize of The Ultimate Scotland Football Experience. Keep your eyes peeled for the limited-edition packs in stores now across Tennent’s Lager 4, 10, 12 and 15 packs.     NEW: Pioneering with pladis 🍪   This month, we had the pleasure of hosting and attending an innovation workshop with our friends over at pladis Global. It was an amazing day for our Insights & Innovation team – filled with many ideas, ingredients and as you can imagine, a whole host of biscuits.     NEW: Making history with Historic Environment Scotland 🏴 Our first campaign with Historic Environment Scotland is officially live. From concept, to castles to the final creation, it’s safe to say this has been an amazing project from start to finish.   Featuring one of their very own historic sites, we shot the campaign alongside the amazing MBP LTD at Craigmillar Castle and in a real family home, capturing authentic moments with loved ones and ultimately showing how important memories don’t need to come with a hefty price tag. An experience at a Historic Environment Scotland site can be transformative – so wander and wonder. Take your friends and family or simply go solo.
