Motherwell Football Club Community Trust was incorporated as a Scottish Charity (SC042588) and as a company limited by guarantee (SC406352) in September 2011. The company has assumed responsibility for the management and operation of a range of community-facing sport, recreation, social and community development activities on behalf of Motherwell Football Club. The aim of the Trust is to use the power of football and the brand name of Motherwell Football Club to motivate and inspire people and communities to change their lives for the better. The Trust operates across Lanarkshire and works with people and communities of all ages living within areas of multiple deprivation or those affected by issues such as poor physical and mental health, unemployment, poor attainment, low engagement with physical activity and community safety. The Community Trust is the only charitable body with an association to a professional club to be awarded the Scottish Football Association's Quality Mark Award at Legacy Level in the SPFL Premiership and achieved Investors in People and Investors in Young People in March 2016.

Pitch specialists SIS Pitches were at Motherwell Football Club Fir Park Astro Training Facility yesterday to hand over a donation of brand new Forza training equipment provided through the Scots Turf CSR initiative. Head of Community Football Andy Thomson was on hand to receive the balls, bibs, markers, first aid kit and training boards. We are grateful to SIS for this donation which helps us keep costs down for participants when overheads are rising.
We’re delighted to be part of this exciting new project which will allow more young people to get involved in football and help provide a balanced lifestyle. We’re looking forward to supporting hardworking families who are struggling to make ends meet in these challenging times.
In partnership with The Scottish Government, the Scottish FA Extra Time programme has been providing after school and holiday activity clubs for primary school aged children across the country. The work will use the power of football to improve the emotional wellbeing & social connections of young people. The unique project involves 5 Scottish clubs and we’re delighted to be working with Craig Wilson (Big Hearts Community Trust ), Brian McLaughlin (Morton in the Community ), Gayle Brannigan (@St Mirren Charitable Foundation) & Derek Allison (Falkirk Foundation ).

Due to the success from last year’s ticket initiative and Fun Day that saw a packed Fir Park, season ticket holders will be able to bring a friend for a fiver to the Ross County game on Saturday 28 October. Prior to the match, the club and Motherwell FC Community Trust are hosting a joint family fun day at the front of the Phil O'Donnell stand. Free to all attending the match, the family fun will begin at 12 noon and will run until 30 minutes before kick-off. Come down early and enjoy face painting, giant inflatables, beat the goalie, a number of stalls and meet the players. For the first time, the club has secured a licence for a beer garden. This can be accessed pre-match via the Phil O'Donnell South stand entrance 🍻
