Once again it's Manufacturing Monday, and we'd like you to meet Lukasz! 👷♀️👷♂️ 🌱 Lukasz joined Morrisons in May 2023 at our Lowlands Plant Nursery. He demonstrates brilliantly our commitment to progression and ensuring pathways are available for our colleagues to grow and progress in their careers. 🌱 Here's what he had to say when we spoke with him: "I started working at Lowlands Nursery in May 2023 as a Line leader / supervisor. I was made to feel welcome and part of the team from my very first day. My ideas for improvements and better ways of working have always been listened to and supported. I was asked if I would like to apply for the pathways level 2 course and of course I accepted and applied, I had my interview and was lucky enough to make it onto the course. It gave me a sense of pride and achievement that my manager had the confidence in me to progress through the company. I have always been fully supported by my manager and the people team at Lowlands and Flowerworld, which has made my journey with Morrisons a great experience and I have now achieved a Team Manager role which is fantastic." ✨ Manufacturing Monday - Putting a spotlight on our Manufacturing division ✨ On Wednesday 17th July, USDAW & Morrisons held a wellbeing event at our site in Deeside. Over 60 colleagues attended and feedback from them has been great, with one lucky colleague even winning a £30 gift voucher. Dawn Uytendhal (pictured) arranged the event, so a big thank you to her. We held a chess tournament at our support office in Bradford, building on the success of last year's session. It was fantastic to see so many colleagues getting involved and showcasing their strategic skills.
