More than Motivation

It was an honour to be the MC at NRS Dounreay's Gender Balance 7th anniversary event, closely coinciding with International Women's Day. Thank you to our very engaged and participative attendees. Becky Ruddy paved the way for a great afternoon with her opening as our network's executive sponsor. Suzanne Ferguson brought great energy to the event with her "snowball" icebreaker. Our keynote speaker Emma Ferguson-Gould, moved us all by sharing her experiences with us and gave great advice as to how we can all be more inclusive in the workplace. Fiona Macintosh from More than Motivation gave us a fresh perspective on motivation, the interactive exercises that we were led through gave us cause for reflection, both on the day and beyond. Fiona Bruce ably led our panel discussion, it was fantastic to hear about the career pathways of our diverse panel members Magnus Davidson Sand Owsnett Dr Naomi M. Fiona Rayment OBE FREng. Craig Brown provided us with a thought provoking close to the event and his call to all of us for action was a great way to close our afternoon. Chairing Dounreay's Gender Balance Network is extremely rewarding. The continued enthusiasm and commitment of our committee is inspirational. Our growing membership is testament to their hard work.
