We are deeply saddened to share the news that last week, our dear friend and colleague of 36 years, Mark Woods, passed away. Mark was an integral part of Midwich, contributing to various departments throughout his career. Beyond his long-standing service, Mark was a kind and thoughtful man who touched the lives of everyone around him. His presence will be greatly missed by all of us. Lily, who worked alongside Mark for 7 years, has shared some words: "Tragically, on Saturday the 21st of September, we lost one of our most esteemed colleagues here at Midwich after 36 years. Mark Woods, or as we fondly called him – Woodsy, Little Woodsy - was an exemplary man who always put others first. His character was very much that of a traditional gentleman - often he would be quiet and then from nowhere, crack a sharp-witted joke that would have us laughing until our bellies hurt. No one could tell a joke as he could. But beneath the comical exterior was someone who was deeply devoted to his family, which always shone through, no matter what. Due to his incredible length of service and time spent in our logistics, customer service and warehousing departments, he was our go-to person. Anything from needing a plaster if you had cut your finger or knowing how to do something on the system, he was our ‘fountain of knowledge’ - an irreplaceable individual with a huge heart. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. And now we will never know how someone so slender could possibly eat the amount of food that he did in any one day. Rest in peace, Mr. Mark Woods. Gone, but never forgotten." Our thoughts and deepest condolences remain with Mark’s family and friends. As a sign of respect, we will be pausing all social communications today.

Congratulations to Sam Daly (pictured left) for being named Employee of the Month for August 👏🍾 One of Sam's nominations highlighted his incredible achievement: "Nimans fulfilled our largest single order ever in August - 16,500 Yealink IP handsets. As part of our service to the partner, every single barcode was individually scanned. Sam was responsible for managing the entire process; picking the goods, handling each box, capturing MAC details, and repacking and palletising everything for dispatch. To put this into perspective, the goods were shipped on multiple 7.5 - tonne vehicles, totaling over 30 pallets to accommodate the volume and customer location. Sam just cracked on with the task in hand, which took 2 days. He worked hard, handled EVERY BOX to fulfil the service that the customer needed, within the timescales expected. Sam is a genuine team player and his efforts helped deliver a high margin, record breaking order on time, with discrepancy...
