We’re now over halfway on our virtual journey from Cambridge to Kharkiv Oblast. Midsummer and Photon Energy are collaborating to support Slobozhanske Hospital in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, with a 36.5kW solar PV and battery system. After donating and shipping PV modules, inverters, and battery storage, we’re now raising funds for essential equipment sourced from Ukrainian suppliers, like mounting systems, cabling, and isolators, and for the installation by local installers. These small PV systems with 30-40kWh of battery storage will ensure critical power for ICUs, maternity units, and monitoring equipment during outages. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.

We’ve been closely following the #Budget announcements this afternoon, and are encouraged to see further commitments to energy efficiency measures in the ongoing mission to reach net zero for the UK. Commenting on the new Budget, Ed Andrews, Commercial Director of InstaGroup, said: “It’s really great to see the Government has committed to the essential investment in energy efficiency required to ensure the UK’s housing stock is ready for Net Zero. It is vital that the detailed plans now emerge from Government so that the industry can deliver on these plans.” (£3.4bn for the Warm Homes Plan is part of the Government's overall £100bn investment over 5 years, which will benefit clean industries, infrastructure and decarbonisation).
