We couldn’t be prouder to share that our Asset Finance team were crowned winners of the Social award at the Asset Finance Connect Awards for our significant charity and community contributions and inclusive workplace environment. The awards celebrate outstanding contributions by companies and individuals within the asset finance industry. Our rising star finalist, Miri Heron, was also called out at the ceremony as being highly commended by the judging panel. Miri’s passion for Asset Finance is second to none so we were delighted that she was spotlighted for this recognition.

We’re excited to share that we are launching into a brand-new market with our new Limited Company Buy to Let mortgage. This new product is a great addition to our portfolio and means we can support a wider breadth of customer with their mortgage needs. Last week two of our colleague inclusion networks – Women on Work, that promotes gender equality, and Mfamily, supporting families of all shapes and sizes at Metro Bank – came together to host an event inviting thought leaders in the bank, and outside of it, to talk to colleagues about navigating your career goals and family life. We were pleased to be joined by Lee Chambers, who shared his personal story and discussed the value of caregiving and the power of allyship. Later this week, Women on Work will launch their hugely popular annual mentoring circles, and we are excited for the next cohort to experience fantastic leaders talking about their personal challenges and experiences that led them to the career opportunities they have today.

This week we invited our colleagues to celebrate Eid al-Adha, organised with the help of our colleague inclusion network - Mbrace. Eid al-Adha is the second of the two Eid celebrations in the Islamic calendar. As part of our celebration, we hosted a fantastic Potluck Lunch with a Henna painting station.
