Halloween is nearly here, and our teammates worldwide have been hard at work transforming our attractions into unforgettable Halloween destinations! From haunted castles to eerie mazes and family-friendly frights, every experience has been carefully crafted to delight and thrill guests of all ages. 🎃 Each of our attractions has brought its own unique spin to the season, thanks to the creativity and dedication of our fantastic teams. Including this year at Thorpe Park, our guests are riding Hyperia, the new rollercoaster, under the stars for Fright Nights, while LEGOLAND California Resort has been taken over by a swarm of spiders in their seasonal takeover. From the actors and designers to our operations and hospitality teams, each department has come together to bring these immersive Halloween experiences to life. Their passion and teamwork ensure that our guests leave with memories that last a lifetime! Here’s to the spine-tingling, hair-raising, and memory-making moments we create together at Merlin! 🌟 Teammate Spotlight: Sayaka Kobayashi 🌟 Celebrating 7 amazing years and 8 months in Merlin! 🎢 Sayaka started her career as a Ride & Attraction Team member at LEGOLAND Japan, after completing on-site training at LEGOLAND California. Our Dungeon attractions and Warwick Castle have teamed up with The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association this Halloween to prepare puppies-in-training for the unexpected...🎃 Guide dog puppies have been making the most of the spooky attractions at Dungeons locations in London, Edinburgh, Blackpool, and Warwick, all to socialise them in a controlled environment to new and unexpected smells, sounds, environments, and the weird and wonderful Dungeons characters. These experiences were carefully designed to familiarise the puppies with the often unpredictable and strange environments that Halloween brings, ensuring their first Halloween is a positive, fright-free experience. This training is just one part of the incredible work guide dogs do to support those with sight loss, helping even more people experience the magic of our attractions. 💫 #GuideDogs #Halloween

PEPPA PIG Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth has shared its eagerly anticipated opening date! 🐷 Just in time for Spring Break, the park will open on March 1, 2025, ready to welcome young children and their families to make magical memories together. From the everyday to the epic, Peppa and her friends will be giving kids the confidence to jump in, explore, and treat every first step as a new adventure across the park's range of rides, attractions, shows, playscapes, and more.  🌈 Set to be the ultimate first theme park experience for little ones, the park builds on Merlin's partnership with Hasbro, which has already seen the successful PEPPA PIG Theme Park in Florida, the PEPPA PIG World of Play brand, and Europe's first standalone Peppa Pig Park, which opened in Günzburg, Germany earlier this year. #PeppaPig #ThemePark #ComingSoon

Rebecca joined the Merlin family in 2015 as part of the Shrek’s Adventure! opening team 💚 From the start, she knew she was part of something bigger, and her passion for spreading joy and making memories has inspired her to explore new roles within the company 🚀 From Actor to Trainer, Supervisor, and now Manager, Rebecca has owned her craft at several of our most iconic attractions ✨ A standout moment in her career was her time at SEA LIFE London. Stepping outside her comfort zone to explore the underwater world, Rebecca loved learning about our animals and making guests smile daily. Since rejoining the Shrek’s Adventure team as Performance Manager, Rebecca has built supportive teams and continues to embody the Merlin spirit every day 👏 💬 “The Go Together and Enjoy the Ride values are at the heart of what I do. The Engineering Academy offers hands-on, real-world training that empowers our team to own their craft and focus on practical, real-world skills that can be immediately applied across our global attractions. Expanding learning opportunities even further, the next six months will see the academy offer fifteen new courses and nine new masterclasses which will support technical colleagues in Florida, New York, Malaysia, and Korea.
