Vorige week maandag hebben we voor Holland Casino een AI Festival georganiseerd, vol innovatiesprints om deelnemers the inspireren over het gebruik van AI in hun werk. Met 50 enthousiaste deelnemers onderzochten we AI-prompting, praktische use-cases en verantwoord AI-gebruik. Mede dankzij Roos Simons & Erik Kepper verliet iedereen het festival met een dosis nieuwsgierigheid, frisse AI-inspiratie en bruikbare AI-kennis! We spent a fantastic day with Holland Casino hosting its first AI Festival - an innovation sprint filled with creativity to inspire employees on using AI in their work. The 50 enthusiastic participants explored AI prompting, practical use-cases, and AI best practices, and left the Festival day filled with valuable AI knowledge and excitement for the potential generative AI can bring to their work! Big thanks to Roos Simons and Erik Kepper for leading the sessions!

What a pleasure to host this dynamic panel during Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity on how to unleash creative superpowers with generative AI, at the Embassy of Dutch Creativity! We explored how Generative AI can democratise creativity and drive innovation from the bottom-up with Jay Ganaden, Director at Adobe Firefly, who generously shared some of the most impactful use cases of Adobe Firefly in driving creative innovation; Nathan Kemp, Global Chief Innovation Officer at Grayling, who’s experience in evolving agency offerings and building creative ecosystems gave invaluable perspectives on future-proofing agency approaches; and Arne Mosselman, our founder, who provided fascinating insights on how Gen AI is already transforming the creative process and outcomes. Special shout out to Ginnia Cheng (鄭梓欣) Cheng, our UK Director for moderating the discussion, and a huge thank you to our panelists for showcasing the transformative power of AI on creativity and providing real-life use cases that highlight the potential of AI in creative workflows. Were you at The AI Summit London last week? Here's our UK Director Ginnia's reflections on the key themes emerging from the event.
Reflecting on The AI Summit London last week, two key themes stood out - the need for transparency, and how we will maintain the human element in our work with generative AI. I was especially enthralled by a talk on how audiences are adapting to Generative AI, led by the BBC's renuka gupta and Ipsos' Katherine Jameson Armstrong, who broke down their new joint research which revealed an unprecedented existential crisis among audiences. While audiences recognise the value AI can bring, there's concern over losing human touch and control, so are demanding transparency, human oversight, and accountability from AI users. Fascinating to hear that people are open to low-stakes applications of AI for convenience and entertainment, but draw a firm line at high-stakes uses that seem to undermine human creativity and skill. So, fake human newsreaders, no. But, cats reading the news – yes! As to how we maintain our humanity as we increasingly partner with AI, it was clear that questions remain over the balance of automation; a few speakers across the event warned how too much automation can strip the cognitive engagement that makes work fulfilling. Successful AI strategies will hinge on human-AI collaboration that augments human capabilities without replacing them. More than one speaker highlighted that the most successful businesses going forward - especially in the more creative industries - will be the ones with an "experimental culture" at their core.
