When tasked with promoting our open-air cinema event for the Olympics, the answer was clear: host our own Officelympics! 🏅🏢 Getting everyone on board was... let's say, an Olympic feat in itself. (No blackmail required, thankfully!) But in true MediaCityUK spirit, the team rallied, and we created magic! 🎬✨ The camaraderie and laughter during filming were gold medal-worthy. Nothing screams summer is here more than the start of the season’s great sporting events, with Wimbledon and the Euros now in the nation’s memory bank, MediaCity is now all set to embrace the Olympics. As the UK home of BBC Sport, Breakfast News and FIVE LIVE – the BBC buildings will be abuzz delivering live coverage, great commentary and breaking news from this iconic sporting event in Paris. Classic Car Boot Sale a hit with design aficionados in the North It was placemaking at its best…Over 4000 classic vehicle buffs, music and fashion lovers descended on MediaCity over the weekend for the first Classic Car Boot Sale to be hosted north of London. The event, which has a passionate following of devotees at its long-term home in London’s King’s Cross, has for the first time brought the concept to the North – choosing MediaCity as the place to debut this unique event. The sun came out on cue for The Hot House Summer Works Do today at MediaCity. Hosted by Miss Blair over 150 members of the community headed down to socialise and mix with their neighbours.
