This week has seen our newest cohort of franchisees complete their Stage 4 training with us in readiness to open their centres over the next few weeks. It's going to be a busy autumn for us! Our face to face training takes place at Mathnasium of Blackheath enabling franchisees to not only meet and learn from the support team who will be with them every step of the way, but to also see the theory in practice once the daily sessions begin in the centre. Bringing our new centre owners together helps to build supportive relationships with their fellow trainees as well as having the opportunity to learn from the best amongst the Blackheath centre team (thank you Justine!). From here their learning continues as they build their launch marketing plans working towards their grand opening this autumn. The safeguarding of children in the tutoring sector has again been under the spotlight in the last few days; the BBC's news piece 'It's too easy for abusers to tutor' has raised awareness amongst parents of the challenges faced by all forms of tuition providers in safeguarding the children in their care. John Nichols, President of the Tutor's Association, joined the BBC News Breakfast sofa on Friday to share the steps they have taken as a professional body representing tutors to lobby the Government, representing their members, and their mandatory requirement that all their members be DBS checked. We understand that parents entrust us with their children, and we take that responsibility seriously. 🎥 What a great day out of the office today! It’s a testament to the UK team's hard work (generously supported by our US Home Office team); this year we’ve already opened 7 new centres, with a further 10 in development and opening before the end of 2024. Wrapping up another fantastic Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center Convention! We had a record-breaking international attendance with representatives from every country Mathnasium operates in. Mathnasium International is truly making waves across the globe! In addition to our general convention sessions, we had some special events, including visits to Mathnasium centers in San Diego. These visits provided an exceptional opportunity to reinforce the convention's key points and learn from top operators. During one visit, our Bahrain franchisee, Dr. Sherry Michael PhD., had an incredible moment when she ran into one of her old families! It was a one-in-a-million chance and a testament to the global reach and impact of Mathnasium. A special thanks to Team Lossing (Elizabeth (Libby) Lossing, Karen Lossing, Steven Lossing, Youngkun Weiss ) and Tommy N. for hosting us! The convention is the perfect opportunity to create connections and learn from each other. It was wonderful to see our international cohort attending and building these important relationships. I can’t wait to see them implement what they learned locally and bring Mathnasium to more kids. Shoutout to my partners in Teamwork - Benjamin SIMON and Steve Spengler!
