We are proud to share that our Community Carveries have raised £65,000 for The Trussell Trust through the sale of Too Good To Go ‘Magic Bags’! 🙌✨ Our partnerships with the Trussell Trust and Too Good To Go are immensely important to us, helping us to support our communities in multiple different ways 💚The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity who support a nationwide network of more than 1,300 food bank centres, providing emergency food and practical support to people who can’t afford the things we all need in life. Whilst Too Good To Go is an app-based solution to food waste, selling surplus food to customers at a reduced price and ultimately reducing the environmental impact of food waste. We are thrilled to have saved over 50,000 meals with Too Good To Go so far, with all revenue (minus packaging costs) donated to the Trussell Trust. Last year food banks in the Trussell Trust network distributed more than 3.1 million emergency food parcels to people unable to afford the essentials in the UK. We’ve done it again!! For the second year running, we’re the highest scoring pub company in the Pubs Code Adjudicator Annual Tied Tenants Survey! 🎉 The survey reveals tenant’s and partner’s relationship with their pub company, with 1,203 partners from across the major six pub companies taking part. We are thrilled to share that 79% of our partners are satisfied with their relationship with us, and a whopping 83% are satisfied with their partnership agreement type. We are delighted to have achieved top spot (or joint top) in every single survey question asked! John Green, Director of Operations, has commented: “I’m really excited to share the news that Marston's has come out on top and had such a good set of results from the survey. What I'm most proud of is how much the new partnerships that were launched in January have shone through and the feedback from our partners.” Thank you to all our partners who have taken part in the survey. 🌟We’re incredibly proud of Lyndon Edwards, General Manager at the Greenhouse in Cwmbran, for completing the Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2024!🌟 Lyndon took to the pedals to complete his seventh BBBR, joining 120 cyclists to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and fundraise for Help for Heroes. Over four days, the group cycled 300 miles through Normandy’s historic landscapes, paying respects at Omaha Beach and other significant WWII sites. The journey ended in Paris, with a group peloton around the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysées to the finish line at Les Invalides 🚴♂️ Lyndon has shared: “I would like to thank all those friends, family, and regulars of the Greenhouse pub, who have supported my fundraising or donated to charity, helping me achieve my goal of £3000 for Help for Heroes.” Well done to Lyndon, we’re hugely impressed by your achievement, and your commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community 🙌 #WherePeopleMakePubs #BBBR24

🙌 Team Marston's conquers the Wolf Run for charity! 🙌 Thirteen members of our Talent & Business Partnering team recently participated in the Wolf Run, a 5k obstacle course through mud, heights, water, and swampy conditions. Despite the challenges, our team successfully raised over £4,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity! Claire Clarke, Senior Business and Talent Partner at Marston's, shared, "We chose to support Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity because a senior team member's child recently went through a long treatment process there. Giving back was a natural choice! The day was filled with mud, water, laughter, smiles, and an incredible team effort. Even though we went a bit off track (an extra 3k!), we started as a team and finished as a team.” A massive well done to everyone who participated 💪👏 And thank you to all who donated. 🌟 Last week, we welcomed the next Level 4 Women in Leadership cohort to kick start the programme at our Pub Support Centre! 🌟 At Marston’s, we're committed to breaking down barriers for women in the workplace. Our 15-month programme empowers women in our pub teams by enhancing their leadership skills through an industry-leading hospitality apprenticeship. The curriculum includes specialised workshops that tackle unique challenges faced by women in leadership, such as imposter syndrome. The learners will also experience immersive days at our head office, St Johns House, where they will participate in activities including celebrating International Women’s Day, networking with peers, and ultimately celebrating their accomplishments at their graduation next year 🥳 We wish the cohort the best of luck. Pizza 🍕 Football ⚽ Drinks 🍻 Mates 🙌 We’re not just celebrating a summer of football in our pubs – our pub support centre teams are getting in on the action too! Last week, we turned our head office into the ultimate fan zone. We opened up the bar (of course we have one!) and fired up the pizza oven (in our fully kitted professional kitchen, no less!).
