At MYAA, we are proud of our team's diversity in background and thought, where our cross-cultural expertise brings exceptional value to our projects across the world. Director Ada Yvars Bravo shared her experiences highlighting the fruits of collaborating on Middle Eastern projects at the Roca Barcelona Gallery this month, as part of the LATAM · MIDDLE EAST design event exploring opportunities between Latin America, Spain and the Middle East. MYAA's position as a facilitator of creativity bridges the gap, fostering a transformative environment that engages untapped design potential between these regions. POWERED BY LOVE: Ada Yvars and Hau Ming Tse were thrilled to attend the launch of TAMART at Milan Design Week, which won the Monocle Design 2024 Award for Best New Brand, celebrating the best in design across the world. TAMART was founded by Amos Samuel de Shalit Goldreich, director at Amos Goldreich Architecture, to celebrate the love and designs of his late parents' work. Amos is a great friend and colleague from when the trio worked at David Chipperfield Architects together in London in the 2000s, before Ada founded MYAA. MYAA celebrates Amos' design launch and looks forward to working with TAMART in the future. Congratulations Amos! #architecture #milandesignweek #designboom #milandesignboomweek #mdw #mdw2024 #milandesigncity #salonedelmobile #furnituredesign

During World Book Day, we are revisiting some of our published works over the past two decades. We believe that our design practice goes beyond the drawing board, exploring the core of our projects through the written word. Writing provides the opportunity to connect with people at a greater reach - even as short as this post! With our commitment to research and innovation, we share our thoughts, values and reflections with you through our books and publications. From faith to feminism, our texts articulate the principles driving our design philosophy at MYAA. #worldbookday #architecturebooks #femalearchitect #religiousarchitecture

💡 The Salaam Centre: A modern, sustainable and energy-efficient building in North Harrow, London Its pioneering design will transform it into an icon of the North Harrow area, largely due to its spectacular white façade, which will be designed using Krion's solid surface sheets and Butech's K-Bolt industrialised concealed anchoring system. In addition to paying tribute to the rich Islamic cultural heritage, it has been conceived as a meeting point for the community. Laid out across five storeys, it will host an impressive prayer room, a library, an IT laboratory, gyms, children's play areas and a sports pavilion. 📐 Mangera Yvars Architects 👷 butech | Porcelanosa Grupo Krion | Porcelanosa Grupo 🔎 Discover this project and more in Lifestyle: https://lnkd.in/e6-SyV-y

MYAA’s horticultural school in Salé, Morocco (Ecole de Jardinage Bouregreg) wins the European Union Green Skills Award for the most inclusive and regenerative scheme beating 600 other entries. Presented by the European Training Foundation of the EU, this award celebrates projects that champion environmental sustainability and vocational training. Out of 600 projects from 60 countries, the Gardening School emerged as one of the top 10 finalists, as selected by a panel of international formation specialists. The first prize of the popular jury went to Lebanon's "Zero Waste Initiative" and the third prize to Kenya for "E-waste Management" The Bouregreg Med-O-Med Gardening School, the first of its kind in Morocco, is a brainchild of the Foundation of Islamic Culture (FUNCI) under the leadership of President Cherif Abderrahman Jah. This visionary project provides free vocational training, empowering young individuals facing precarious situations and focusing on ecological gardening practices. In the words of Cherif Abderrahman Jah: "The main objective of this project is to help develop the skills of young Moroccans, teaching them the noble and wise craft of gardening while guiding them toward a path of dignity." Beyond its role as a gardening training center, the Gardening School also serves as an environmental awareness hub, addressing critical issues like environmental protection, climate change, and biodiversity conservation. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to sustainable practices, vocational training, and environmental stewardship. We are proud to have worked on this project and look forward to continuing our mission of promoting green initiatives and making a positive impact on the architectural and environmental landscape. https://lnkd.in/dauVeFdC #GreenSkillsAward #Sustainability #Medomed #Rabat #schooldesign #VocationalTraining #EnvironmentalAwareness #ArchitectureForChange

Leveraging Technology for Future Cities: Cultural Placemaking and Innovation supported by generative design. MYAA gave a talk at the recent UN World Habitat and National Urban Forum, held in the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the use of AI in masterplanning with the caviat that humancentric architecture requires empathy. AI can support the development of Future cities but humancentric design requires architects to have a more nuanced approach to culture and context. Future cites must respond to history, psychology and cognitive mapping authenticity but AI and generative design can support the evolution of ideas. #azerbaijanurbanweek #NUFA #NUFA2 #sustainability #ai #aiarchitecture #masterplanning

MYAA is ecstatic to see our very own Wala Alradhi sharing her experience in our office at the Misk Foundation Traineeship Program Gala at one of London's most iconic buildings, the 30 St Mary Axe tower. Walla was selected from over 4000 applicants to intern in London, and then joined us as an architectural assistant earlier this year. MYAA strongly believes in female empowerment in the built environment sector and we are delighted to see the progress Walla continues to make. #traineeship #womeninarchitecture #womenempowerment #misk
