A strong summer holiday season is forecast for MAG (Airports Group) as 6.3m passengers travelled through our airports in June, up 7% year-on-year ✈️ Manchester Airport and London Stansted Airport continued to have record breaking months, serving 3m and 2.8m passengers respectively, whilst East Midlands Airport welcomed more than half a million passengers. Operational performance remains strong with 100% of passengers at East Midlands Airport passing through security in 15 minutes or less, with the figure standing at 97% at both Manchester Airport and London Stansted Airport. Congratulations to Jonathan Reynolds MP on becoming the new Business and Trade Secretary - Department for Business and Trade. It was great to welcome him as guest of honour when we launched our Services Superpower report, from WPI Economics, which was held the day before the election was called! The report shows how important international connectivity is to the UK's economic future - making the case for aviation's inclusion in Government's new industrial strategy. Today, we have published our annual results for 2023-24 which show a record year for MAG (Airports Group). During this period, we served 61m passengers across our three airports Manchester Airport, London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport, exceeding passenger levels recorded in 2019-20 for the first time. As part of our vision for the aviation sector to reach net zero carbon by 2050, MAG (Airports Group) is delighted to sponsor academic research. The summer season continues to take off for MAG (Airports Group) as almost 6m passengers travelled through our airports in May, up 9% year-on-year ✈️ Manchester Airport and London Stansted Airport once again had a record breaking month, with passenger numbers equal to 106% of those seen in May 2019. Operational performance remains strong as the peak summer period approaches, with 100% of passengers getting through security in 15 minutes or less at East Midlands Airport, with the figure standing at 99% at Manchester and 97% at London Stansted. We are proud to be celebrating #PrideMonth at MAG (Airports Group) 🏳️🌈 Throughout the month, our Fly with Pride Colleague Resource Group at Manchester Airport, London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport is hosting a range of events and activities to encourage all our colleagues to embrace and be proud of our truly inclusive culture. ☕ Coffee mornings are being held to encourage colleague conversations about Pride. 💻 A virtual event will be held, led by Dr. Christopher Owen, Inclusivity Development Manager for Manchester Pride, to discuss the history and present of the Pride movement and how we can promote LGBTQ inclusion in our work and personal lives. 👚 Every Friday in June, colleagues are encouraged to Dress with Pride. 🧡 Colleagues are encouraged to put their pronouns in their email signature and wear pronoun badges all year round. 🌈 We'll also be attending Nottingham Pride and Manchester Pride this year!
