One thing I love about events is developing a theme. As the business grows I am still very much involved in this area. So I thought I would give some insight into how I develop themes. Do you know that a third of people prefer a themed event to a non themed event. Themes are far more than decorative elements or catchy phrases—they are the backbone of any successful gathering. They give your event a unique identity, personality, and soul, creating a cohesive story that resonates with your audience. You are the storyteller of a clients brand, and your event should always reflect that narrative. To design an engaging event, start by defining your narrative. Know the story your client wants to tell and the emotions they want the attendees to experience. What should they take away from your event? What do you want them to think, feel and do, before, during and after the event. Develop a story arc that guides your attendees from beginning to end, creating anticipation, engaging participants, and providing a satisfying conclusion. With pockets full of wow. Your guests should be drawn in from the start, experience communal moments in the middle, and enjoy a crescendo at the end. Detail is key in every element of your event—from guest activities to food, to entertainment. Create immersive experiences that bring the story to life, ensuring every detail ties back to your original goals. Think macro, then micro: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and scent all play a role. Every touchpoint is an opportunity to emphasise the theme and tell the story. Incorporate experiences in both the digital and physical spaces, ensuring a seamless narrative. Remember, even after the event, the photos and memories will continue to tell your story. Let's create events that not only impress but also inspire. #EventPlanning #Storytelling #EventManagement #Leadership #WomenInBusiness
