Take a look at the new proposed design for HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd Curzon Street 🚆✨ Mace and Dragados UK & Ireland Joint Venture, working with their design partners Arcadis and WSP Joint Venture along with Grimshaw architects, have unveiled new proposed designs for the iconic Birmingham Curzon Street Station! Passengers can look forward to an enhanced travel experience with easier connections to local and national transport networks. The station will be the first inter-city terminus station built since the Victorian times. It has a design that combines heritage while embracing the future of travel. We will be inviting members of the public to give their feedback on the proposed design and will be sharing more details about this shortly. Revolutionising construction with robotic precision ⚙🔧 Do you remember Dave, our robot dog from Heathrow Airport? We thought it was about time to introduce you to his Irish cousin, Setanta! 😄 An agile mobile robot from Boston Dynamics, integrated with Trimble technology, Setanta is named after the mythical Irish warrior. This innovative robot has been a game-changer in the construction industry, performing autonomous laser scans that help us stay ahead of schedule while reducing costs and manual labour. With Setanta, we can now complete three or more scans a week, compared to just one manually. This improvement means more accurate data, quicker anomaly detection, and enhanced quality control. Our BIM teams are now free to focus on modelling and coordination, thanks to the efficiency of our robotic friend. 🤖 Did you know that Setanta scans over 2,500m² of floor space in just 10 hours? This significantly reduces the turnaround time for usable, fully registered laser scan model data. Instead of the traditional 5-7 days, our supply chain now accesses analysed laser scan data within 2-3 days.
