A new report published today by Nesta and Baringa investigates what role GB Energy could play in steering the UK towards decarbonisation. Phil Dingle, Director of Future Networks for Lucy Electric shared his views with Installer and reNEWS - Renewable Energy News. “Nesta and Baringa’s report rightly highlights that the UK’s infrastructure supply chain is the beating heart of Net Zero delivery, emphasising the need for government to enable investment and capacity building as a critical part of GB Energy within a reformed energy system. We are supportive of policies which increase the speed of delivering renewable generation within the UK, but as spotlighted in the report, connecting increased low-carbon generation capacity with homes and businesses will require network investment to quadruple to reach net zero power by 2030. We urgently need clear investment signals and the right frameworks so key Net Zero supply chain partners like Lucy Electric can scale up and deliver.” Read the full articles here: https://bit.ly/3LFK3w6 https://bit.ly/4dg7wzJ #Decarbonisation #GBEnery #NetZero #Networks
