Senior Account Manager at Love Childcare Recruitment - Experts in Nursery, Wraparound Childcare & Sports Coaching recruitment

🌟 First Impressions Matter! 🌟 Recently, I've conducted a few first-stage interviews where candidates were noticeably unprepared, which unfortunately hindered their own progress in the process. When it comes to landing a role in the childcare sector, your first impression during the interview is everything. Whether you're applying for a role as an early years practitioner or a wraparound childcare manager, here’s how to make sure you shine from the very start: 1️⃣ Do Your Homework Before the interview, research the childcare setting thoroughly. Know their values, approach to childcare, and any specific programs they run. This shows you're genuinely interested and aligned with their mission. 2️⃣ Be Ready with Examples I love hearing about real-life examples of how you’ve handled situations with children, parents, or colleagues. Think of moments where you've used patience, creativity, or teamwork to solve a challenge. 3️⃣ Show Enthusiasm for Child Development In childcare, passion is key! Let your enthusiasm for working with children shine through. Mention how much you value being part of their growth and development. 4️⃣ Ask Thoughtful Questions Asking questions about team culture, training opportunities, or their approach to childcare shows you're thinking long-term and genuinely invested in the role. A great first impression sets the tone for the entire interview – and could be the deciding factor between candidates! Love Childcare Recruitment Tom Trout Steve Brennan Ashley Peacock Clara M. It’s no secret that your CV is really important. It serves as a personal marketing tool and can do amazing things when you craft it well. But, the problem is, oftentimes CV’s aren’t well thought out and that leads to them being ineffective. You really need to put yourself in the shoes of the person hiring. What would they want to know about your career story? 💡 Quantifiable achievements It’s not always about what you did. It’s also about how well you did it. Highlighting measurable results is an awesome way of proving that you can’t only do something, but you can do it well! 💡Qualifications In any industry, qualifications are importantly. However, in childcare they’re not only important they’re sometimes completely necessary! Making your qualifications known from the get go is a great way to show you know your stuff. 💡Experience - the relevant kind It’s important to craft every part of your CV with the role that you want in mind. Make sure that the experiences you speak about are relevant to the role(s) that you’re applying for. What have you done in your previous roles that would make you a great in your future role? #lovechildcarerecruitment #childcare #recruitment #nursery #wraparound #sportscoaching #sports #children #kids #wraparoundcare

  • Continuously seeking professional development is crucial if you're aiming to advance in your career. One important thing to consider if you're wanting to progress is… Mentorship and Feedback💡 Connecting with mentors or more experienced colleagues can provide valuable guidance and support. This is something that you can be proactive with and start right away. Whether it’s through LinkedIn, networking events, or simply at the workplace… Engaging with experienced colleagues allows for the exchange of ideas where you can learn from others successes and mistakes. This support can be instrumental in broadening your perspective and enhancing your skill set. This not only benefits your career progression but also ensures you can provide the best possible support and education to the children you work with. #lovechildcarerecruitment #childcare #recruitment #nursery #wraparound #sportscoaching #sports #children #kids #wraparoundcare
