In September, the incredible team from Verkada embarked on a mission to transform Three Corners Adventure Playground in Islington, and the results were nothing short of amazing! ✅ They rolled up their sleeves and tackled a range of tasks that genuinely made a difference: ✅ Repaired a weathered bench/table. ✅ Sorted wood into firewood, construction wood, and rotten wood. ✅ Removed an entire truckload of garbage. ✅ Trimmed the grass and gave a tree a fresh lease on life. ✅ Partially repaired the netting. ✅ Delivered a hefty load of materials to another playground, their most challenging feat of the day! Verkada’s dedication and hard work left Three Corners Adventure Playground safer and tidier for the children of Islington. 👏 We are proud to work with such a dedicated and community-driven team. Huge thanks to the fantastic Legal & General team for their incredible effort at Slade Gardens Adventure Playground on the 6th of June! Despite the challenging conditions, the team showed real grit and determination, tackling physically demanding tasks with unwavering commitment. Together, they: ✅ Prepared the impact surface installation for the new swing ✅ Dug a soakaway sink ✅ Demolished the derelict bee shed ✅ Continued painting the perimeter fence ✅ Moved waste materials ✅ Carried out various gardening tasks Your team's hard work has transformed the playground, making it a safer and more vibrant space for the children. This was Legal & General's second time volunteering with us, and their dedication continues to inspire. A big thank you to the fantastic team from Braze for your incredible hard work at Three Corners Adventure Playground! The team demolished old decking, repaired adjacent decking, constructed a wood storage rack (brilliantly repurposing old materials to save timber!), removed surplus astroturf granules, cleared and tidied two storage containers, turned compost, and revitalised the 'secret garden' area by cutting grass and weeds. Thanks to your efforts, the playground looks fantastic and ready for National Play Day in August. On the 4th of June, this remarkable group, with sleeves rolled up, transformed Deptford Adventure Playground. Your hard work, from regenerating the playground with vibrant new paint to fortifying structures, changing walkway slates, and clearing garden waste, has truly breathed new life into this beloved community space. Our Project Manager couldn't be more impressed, noting how the team worked tirelessly and then pushed even harder in the second half of the day. From painting bird protection cages and finishing the 'catwalk' walkways to repairing decking boards, handrails and clearing thorns and brambles, you've made a massive impact! We deeply appreciate your time and dedication to keeping adventure playgrounds safe and vibrant. Together, as part of this collective effort, we can create fantastic play spaces for children across London.

It was a real pleasure yesterday to get out of the office and work with so many colleagues assisting London Play Design at their hub location in nearby Honor Oak. Boston Consulting Group (BCG)'s Social Impact day is one of the highlights of the year, and having protected time AFK to help worthy and local causes is a genuine measure representative of our firm values. I've been pondering for some time the necessity of variation in working cadence, particularly where working in Agile/Agile at Scale, and events like this are doubly beneficial to give headspace and clarity to what you're doing and what you want to do in life. Today is our last day of global volunteering week at Braze. The teams have had a blast with activities virtually, in the office and outside in the fresh air. Some snaps below from our time at London Play Design to help maintain and keep safe a local adventure playground. #brazecares

A huge shoutout to the incredible ADVANZ PHARMA team for their fantastic energy and dedication at Glamis Adventure Playground! On the 21st of May, this fantastic team: ✅ cleared the playground of rubble and junk; ✅ moved a ton of compost to a more useful section of the playground; ✅ replaced rotten floorboards and fixed steps to keep the children safe; ✅ added a fresh coat of paint to playground structures; ✅ cleared and tidied a local street next to the playground; and ✅ did some incredible gardening! Thanks to their hard work, the playground is now a safer, brighter place for the kids. As our Project Manager said, "An amazing team that worked with great energy and cracked on, no matter the task."
