In September, the incredible team from Verkada embarked on a mission to transform Three Corners Adventure Playground in Islington, and the results were nothing short of amazing! ✅ They rolled up their sleeves and tackled a range of tasks that genuinely made a difference: ✅ Repaired a weathered bench/table. ✅ Sorted wood into firewood, construction wood, and rotten wood. ✅ Removed an entire truckload of garbage. ✅ Trimmed the grass and gave a tree a fresh lease on life. ✅ Partially repaired the netting. ✅ Delivered a hefty load of materials to another playground, their most challenging feat of the day! Verkada’s dedication and hard work left Three Corners Adventure Playground safer and tidier for the children of Islington. 👏 We are proud to work with such a dedicated and community-driven team. Thank you for your hard work and support. Join us in making a difference. Comment "volunteer" below to learn about our corporate volunteering opportunities in London. A massive thank you to the Tapestry team for their fantastic work on 16th July at King Henry's Walk Adventure Playground! Thanks to this incredible group, the playground now has a new bridge, outdoor kitchen, swing platform and protective paint on its play structures. Our charity partner, Awesome, manages King Henry's Walk Adventure Playground in Islington. Since 1973, it has been a vital part of the community, offering inner-city children a chance to connect with nature and enjoy the freedom of outdoor play. These opportunities remain crucial in a borough with the second lowest level of open space in the country. At King Henry's Walk, adventure play is free for children ages six to thirteen and is supervised by playworkers. Our Project Manager shared, "I'm so happy that we got so much done - it was a fantastic boost to the playground! I can't wait to see you all again. Thank you." We're deeply grateful for your support in maintaining and enhancing this vital community space. #socialimpact #corporatevolunteering #corporatesocialresponsibility #londonplaydesign

A huge thank you to BGC Group, organised by Matchable Volunteering, for their incredible work at Ladywell Fields Adventure Playground on 15th July! ✨ Ladywell Fields, built in 2008 with help from the Big Lottery Fund and managed by our charity partner, Youth First, has been sadly condemned since 2022 due to toxic mould growth. We’re currently working to install temporary buildings onsite in order to provide dry and safe indoor spaces, which means the playground can be reopened and children can return to play. Thanks to the BGC Group’s hard work clearing space, demolishing old structures, prepping new hand railings, and moving new temporary cabins into place, we’ve been able to lay the groundwork for this important comeback. 👏 We're also excited about plans for a community garden programme at Ladywell Fields. With the support of corporate volunteers, we'll build planters and engage local gardening groups to keep the site vibrant and well-maintained. 🌱 Thank you, BGC Group, for your generous support. We’re incredibly close to welcoming children back to Ladywell Fields Adventure Playground! #corporatesocialresponsibility #makeadifference #socialimpact #londonplaydesign

All summer long, BXers rolled up their sleeves at volunteering events around the globe! A few highlights: 🦪🌳 In #NYC, our volunteers restored oysters at Billion Oyster Project and worked on a park renewal project with Riverside Park Conservancy ⚒🛠 In #London, employees teamed up with The Childhood Trust and London Play Design to help repair the city’s iconic adventure playgrounds. 🧸🇯🇵 In #Tokyo, the crew visited Playground of Hope to help provide children in at-risk communities with access to essential outdoor play equipment.

For the second year in a row, we partnered with London Play Design — a non-profit committed to renovating, repairing, and preserving playgrounds and youth centres. This year, my colleagues in the London Office and I volunteered to revitalize Paradise Park, a children’s centre in Islington, serving kids under the age of five. Together, we cleared rubbish, cleaned out sheds and old ponds, power-washed surfaces, painted, and constructed new play structures. I’m glad we can give some time and energy to level the playing field and make a lasting impact in the community! Kudos to Amanda Gomez for organizing the event #otppMakeAMark

A massive thanks to London Play Design for hosting us at one of their many adventure playgrounds in the city. It was a great chance to get out of the office for a day and get to know each other while showcasing our DIY skills. We actually enjoyed it so much we're going back to finish off the job.

On the 4th of July, volunteers from Waverton Investment Management installed a fantastic bark chip enclosure and prepared boards for vibrant murals at The Log Cabin Charity in Ealing. We’re grateful for Waverton’s hard work in helping to maintain this inclusive play space, which primarily supports children who have additional needs and disabilities across the borough. Thank you, Waverton, for your dedication in making a real difference! Hope to see you again soon. 🙌 #corporatesocialresponsibility #makeadifference #londonplaydesign
